Chapitre 8: Call For the Gods

At that moment, Matter stood between Ayensi and the Guardians. Ayensi steadily moved forward while the Guardians were watching Life panic.

Spirit then shouted at Life, "What are we going to do now!? We need another plan before he gets to us!"

Elements placed her hand onto Spirit and her thousand voices spoke, "Life only cowered when he was appointed by a God. This is serious, we need to call for Highest and Lowes."

Hearing this, Life interrupted, "No, you all don't understand! That man can get to us at this moment if he wants to but he doesn't! Only a God can defeat him!"

With a spark, he had an idea.

"Everyone, put your energy onto Spirit!"

"Why?", Destruction frowned,

"Just hurry and do it!" it was Death who shouted, not Life.

"Even you are panicking..." Destruction found the situation graver than he thought.

Death likes death, that was the most obvious fact. Meaning, the destruction of many is both his and Destruction's joy. If not for their reverence for the Gods, they would be the evilest villains out there.

However, Death is panicking which shouldn't happen. It is for the reason that even if the world is destroyed, Death will only revive in the other realm while still continuing his duties under the Gods.

Death is only doing his job and has no connection towards Ressuim whatsoever.

Towards Destruction's words, Death replied, "It's because I see our... including MY death!"

"..." everyone looked at Death with a stupefied expression.

"Enough talk, hurry! Put your energy to me!" Spirit urged, destroying the silence.

"I know what Life is up to, I will use an ability of mine which you don't know. It's called Touch of God. Back at the War of Inferno when I was just a child, the God of Spirit, God Mitteus's very own finger came from the sky and killed an indestructible Unforgiven with one touch before Life arrives!"

After she explained, the other Guardians felt conflicted. They knew why Spirit only thought of using it now.

Even if one calls for help, you can't just order a God. Even if it couldn't be called ordering but can they just call a God whenever they want to?

"We shouldn't do it ye-" Elements was about to raise her concern when suddenly-

Pak!-* there was a sharp and crisp slap that resounded.

All of their attention was disturbed and replaced.

Everyone looked as Matter disintegrated into dust after Ayensi slapped him once. Their faces all paled.

They all realized that this is not the time to hesitate!

Matter has the strongest defense. If even he was destroyed in one hit, how much would it take for this mysterious man to kill them!?

"Shit! Shit!" Destruction continuously cursed as he placed his hand towards Spirit.

"Sister Spirit... sob... hurry..." Void began crying as empty bubbles came out of her and enter Spirit's body.

Spirit felt a sudden bloatedness. Even is if she's one of the Guardians, there are other eight like her giving her energy!

The fearless Power was breathing hard while Elements was frantically giving every force she had.

"It seemed like I have to sacrifice my main body!" Death suddenly exclaimed before blood came out of all his orifices which made his body exploded!

Pure death energy was then purified by Peace and placed towards Spirit.

'They're finally taking me seriously.' Ayensi thought it was about time. While he slowly walked, the ground beneath him suddenly rose and coiled around his feet.

"I'm still not dead." Matter's voice sounded.

However, Ayensi made Matter looked very frail. The coiling ground broke the moment it tried to stop his feet.

Matter's humanoid figure came out again and hugged Ayensi. Rooting itself on the ground, it tried to stop him.

At the same time, beings all around the world felt the ground trembled.

"Eh? What's happening?" a petite girl, with dark blue hair, on top of a mountain of gold and treasures felt her dungeon trembled.

At the next moment, the ground above collapsed. She looked up with a frown before she disappeared and appearing beside the collapsing ground.

"Tsk!" she clicked her tongue before she used her incredible speed to take every falling rock before it fell onto the mountain of gold and treasures.

In just a blink of an eye, she cleared the spot before the first dust even touched the gold coin on the very top of the golden mountain.

Her speed was phenomenal that could break the universe on its own, however, it didn't.

"But now... my treasury is bared for the world to see." she frowned while earth continues to tremble.

Other beings panicked but some not as it was not a very strong earthquake. However, they didn't know; Matter connected itself to the world's continental roots in the hope to stop Ayensi.

But to its fear, Ayensi didn't even slow down.

"How is this possible?! How is this possible?! By moving me right now, you're moving all the continents all over the world!" Matter's usual gentle and warm voice vanished as it frantically questioned.

"Continents? Want me to see move the whole world?" Ayensi joked but Matter felt that he truly can.

Meanwhile, in the middle of the other eight Guardians and the youngest of them all, Spirit continues to feel enormous energy filling her up.

'I feel like I'm about to explode. Can I do it?' Spirit began to pray like she did when she was just a child centuries ago. It was an unforgettable memory where God Mitteus's finger pierced the sky and touched the giant Unforgiven, killing it with just one touch.

While they pour energy into Spirit, Life shouted at Matter, "Use the shield!"

"Lowes has it! He's using it to gate the Lowest Realm! I have to forcefully take it first!" it replied.

"Then do it! Whether you're there or not, his speed will be the same!"

Matter knew it was true and let go "... fine, I'll get control of it..."

The earthquake that was occurring all over the world stopped at once and Ayensi continued to walk at the same speed.

"Monster..." Matter mumbled before focusing. It took only a moment before its voice resounded again, "Let's see if you can get past this!"

A shield rose from the ground. It looked like an oversized copper shield, nothing more. But seeing this, Ayensi's eyes widened.

There was the obvious surprised expression on his face. He muttered.

"So this is Your move?"

Matter thought Ayensi was talking to it and replied, "This is called the Immovable Shield. No one can move it but the owner, me! Not even the Gods! But of course, this is the Gods' object and I'm only temporarily holding it."

Ayensi stopped walking as he squinted his eyes, "Of course, it's an Absolute Object. No rules in any of the universes can go against what is intended to do or to be." his breathing became sharp, "Didn't think I would find another clue on this first world."
