Chapitre 55: Arya's Prowess

Harry and the others rushed towards them as Kim floored the accelerator causing the truck to lurch forward with immense momentum.

All of them had worry stricken faces. Arya did not wait for the truck to reach Jason, she jumped out of the truck and flew towards him in breakneck speed.

She had seen his conversation with the man from afar as she was rushing towards him. She had also seen him cut off the canon but when she saw him suddenly fall down, she panicked.

"Jason!" Arya cried out loud when she saw Jason in such a terrible state.

Arya grit her teeth as she pumped out more mana to gain more acceleration. She looked like an immortal fairy with her hair fluttering as she rushed towards him with a panicked look on her mesmerizing face.

Soon she was about to reach him but just as she was about to get hold of him to pick him away to a safer place…

"Don't come near" Jason barely managed to speak.

Arya suddenly stopped midway just shy of coming inside the gravitational field Jason was under. She desperately wanted to rush to him, but she knew that Jason was the leader and he must have stopped her from coming any closer for an important reason.

Instead, she turned her attention to the group of people staring wide eyes at her floating form. Her eyes were red with unshed tears as she collected herself, Jason was in pain and she would do anything to save him.

A determined glint flashed across her face as the air around her grew frosty and hundreds of ice shards formed behind her, they covered the whole sky behind her. She had not realized before but after gaining Wind powers she had almost double the power of an average evolved human.

The power difference was now coming to play as the ice shards dominated the sky with their pointy tips glinting menacingly. They had spiral design and were spinning at high speed causing a low humming sound to be generated by each ice shard. And when the collective sound of hundreds of ice shards accumulated it almost generated a low humming sound in the air that charged up the air. The windows of the armored trucks were vibrating from the pressure. Even the soldiers were showing a mildly painful expression on their faces.

"Interesting, I did not expect to meet a person with dual elements so soon" The man muttered under his breath. He did not get more time to contemplate as Arya pointed her finger at him and all the ice shards came rushing at him at supersonic speed.

Arya had chosen to aim all her ice shards at the man who hurt Jason. This type of attack was the most primitive attack she could do with her dual elements. She did not have any reference point to create any advanced attack types and she had been spending most of her time trying to learn to fly perfectly. While these types of attacks looked mighty and powerful, in reality, they were an utter waste of mana as there was no optimization and it was like using a metal rod to strike even though you could use a sword or saber which had sharp edges to easily cut through instead of using primitive strength.

The attack was powerful enough that if it had been used to strike the tank then only scraps of the previous mighty tank would be left. The ice shards had enough piercing power to pierce through the protective shield of a second evolved being so what was a tank made with mortal grade materials in front of it.

But surprisingly enough the man had the same slightly arrogant expression on his face as he faced the incoming attack without a hint of worry on his face.

Just as the ice shards were about to pierce through his unprotected body he again waved his hand and a golden haze covered his figure and a thin golden colored film covered his body.

*Shatter

The ice shards collided with the thin film and broke into tiny pieces as if they were pieces of brittle glass not mana enhanced ice shards. The sound of glass shattering ran in the clearing as ice shards kept colliding with the gold film. The man had a smirk on his face as he calmly faced all of it. The armored truck he was on was filled with puncture holes due to stray ice shards and some of the soldiers near him were also in a similar situation with their bodies punctured through by ice shards as they fell down lifelessly as blood gushed out from their punctured bodies.

A frown masked her Beautiful face as Arya gazed at the bloody screen in front of her. She was slightly nauseous and felt disgusted by what she had done but she pushed all those emotions at the back of her mind. Right now, this seemingly invincible man was the main problem as her attack had been rendered useless by his protective shield.

*Vroom

The truck skidded into a screeching stop as Kim and the others rushed out from the tuck with furious expressions on their faces. They had seen the man easily face the insanely powerful attack by Arya but they were determined to fight this man to save Jason. Even Aiden had a pistol in her hand given to her by Harry as he had a new assault rifle given by Jason.

"Oh, more people to play with, this day is soon turning into an awesome day "The man spoke in a sadistic voice. It sounded eerie and unnatural as causing them to shiver unconsciously.

"You'll have to go through me before you even think of harming them" A strong voice resounded in the clearing as they turned their eyes to look at a buffed up Jason who looked more muscular than before and he had a new look to him with two tattoos covering his bare forearms. He looked furious and a bloodthirsty aura was circulating around him.

The man's eyes widened with an astonished expression on his face as he saw this scene. He had been sure he had handled this boy with a 30 times gravitational lock field, but this boy was standing in strong in the field and he looked unbothered by the field.
