"I brought you here from Christopher's house. He tried raping you and I got there on time."
Annie got down from the bed and walked towards him furious.
"If you had handled my daughter very well and left her alone as I told you, none of this would have happened!" She screamed.
"It's not my fault." He tried defending himself.
"Whose fault is it? My fault? Huh?" She fired.
He sighed.
"I'm sorry Annie." He dropped his head.
His phone rang, "Hello Kim?" What's the update?"
"I'm sorry sir but she doesn't seem to be in the city."
"What do you mean by that?" His voice got louder.
"Sir we've searched the whole city sir. We've looked everywhere." He explained.
His heart raced.
"You have to find her, you have to. Contact who you must, we have to find her."
Kim sighed,"Yes sir."
He ended the call worried. Where did she go to?
Annie looked at him, "She's missing?"
Christian twisted his lips "Uhm... Yeah."
Annie held her head and sat down on the bed. She just couldn't cry anymore so she stared into space.
He looked at her, his hands in his pants pocket.
Her eyes met his. His beautiful grey eyes bored into hers, Annie couldn't help but admire them. Though she hated him, his appearance still made her heart race.
She looked away.
"Please get my daughter. Bring her back to me." She mumbled.
"If I find her and bring her bsck, would you forgive me?" He walked towards her and knelt I'm front of her.
She looked at him arching her brow.
"Forgive you?" She faked a laugh, "You want me to forgive you after all you did. You didn't pity me when I was at your feet begging."
"Annie I..."
"That's enough. You're the reason my daughter is not here and you just want forgiveness on a platter of gold." Her voice choked.
"I'll find her Annie no matter what it takes I'll find her even if it's the last thing I do." He assured her.
He got up and left the room. He went downstairs, he dialled his personal detective, Jerry.
"Hello Jerry. I have something important for you to do. My daughter has gone missing."
"Your daughter?"
"Yes."
"You have a daughter?"
"That's a story for another day. Please Jerry, you have to find her."
"Ok but can I get her picture or something?" He asked.
He kept quiet, "I don't think I have her picture..."
"Seriously man? Who doesn't have a picture of their daughter?"
He then remembered he took a selfie with her before they entered the restaurant.
"Oh. I remember taking a selfie with her. I'll send it right now."
"When did she go missing?"
"Today. She ran escaped from Christopher's house and Kim has told me he can't find her in the city." He sounded worried.
"So you're saying Christopher kidnapped her?"
"Yes."
"This should be enough. I'll call if anything pops up."
"Thank you so much Jerry." He thanked him profusely.
"Sure."
He ended the call.
Annie was descending the stairs.
Christian turned and saw her.
"You leaving?"
"I don't want to stay here. I wanna go home."
"Please Annie. Just stay here for a few days. You might be in danger. If Christopher doesn't see Christine, he'll come for you."
"I'm not staying here Christian." She walked past him but stopped.
Christian held her hand.
"Please Annie. I need you."
Her heart raced, he needed her? After all these years?
"I'm sorry. Please Annie stay with me. We'll find her together, please stay here. Just for a few days till we find her, then you can leave. Please."
Annie let go of his hand. She went back without saying anything.
His eyes followed her and he sighed.

Christopher banged his hand on the table furiously.
"How could you let her go Samson?!"
"I'm so sorry sir, she tricked me." Samson apologised, his head bent.
"Where did that bastard run off to?" He pushed his hair backwards frustrated.
His P.A, Donald, came in.
"SirI just received word from McHall. He says the girl is not in the city sir. They've searched everywhere for her."
Christopher gaped in Surprise, "Where did a five year old run to in this big city?
" So there's no where we could find her?" He asked angry and frustrated.
" She could have been too frightened and must have run though I don't know how to the neighboring city."
"There's the Sam Houston national Forest there. She must have hidden there." Samson said.
Christopher grinned evily "I'm getting that girl, come what may."
"Samson call the district ranger of coldspring district."
"Yes sir."
Samson dialled his number.
He picked at the second ring.
"Hello Mr. Luke Russell?"
"Yes."
"My boss would like to speak with you." He handed the phone to Christopher.
"Mr. Russell. There's someone I'd like you to search for in your district."
"Who's that sir?"
"A little girl of about five years old. She might have run to your district. You see she ran away from home."
"Oh. Okay sir."
"Find her and bring her me. I'll pay you handsomely for this."
"Yes sir. Thank you sir."
He ended the call.
"C'mon Samson. Go. And be discreet this time." He warned.
"Yes sir." He bowed and left.
"I'll take my leave sir." Donald said.
"Alright."
Donald left the office.
Christopher gently tapped the table."
"I promise you Christian, I'll take everything back. Everything that belongs to me. This is a promise brother."

Annie cuddled the pillow, soaking it with her tears.
"Please God. Bring my daughter back to me. I want her back." She cried.
She hugged the pillow tighter.
"Ma'am?" A maid knocked at the door.
She looked up.
"Sir wants you to come have dinner."
She looked away, "I'm not hungry."
"But..."
"Please go away. I'm not hungry." She frowned.
"Yes ma'am." The maid left.
She continued hugging pillow and soon fell asleep.
"Mommy!" Christine called.
"Christine!" She ran towards the direction of Christine's voice.
She got there and saw a man holding Christine's hand a out to throw her off a cliff.
"Please let my daughter go!"
" I won't let her go until succumb to my will Annie." The man laughed.
She looked closely at the man and saw it was Christopher.
"Please Christopher let my daughter go. Please don't do this." She begged on her knees.
"Come to me Annie." He beckoned on her to come.
Dazed, she began to walk towards him, she was almost close to him when she couldn't move anymore. Someone held her hand.
It was Christian.
"Christian please let me go. I have to save my daughter." She begged him.
"No way am I letting you go that monster." He held her hand tightly.
Christopher's face went red with anger.
"If you don't come now Annie, you'll lose your daughter."
"Save me Mommy!" Christine kept on crying.
Annie was confused, Christian held her tighter and Christopher was about throwing her daughter over a cliff.
"Christian let me go!"
" Never!"
Christopher smirked, "Say a farewell to your little Angel." And he threw Christine off the cliff.
"Mommy!" She screamed.
"Nooo!"
"My daughter nooo!" Annie screamed and woke up.
