"Your Highness, Your Highness, are you awake? Please wake up." A clear and melodious voice resonated in Nexus' ears.
Nexus slowly opened his eyes, he furrowed his brows in confusion.
"Who is calling me?"His gaze slowly fell upon a young girl with a look of nervousness in her eyes. Her face was a vision of perfection, with large purple eyes and long cascading purple hair.
It was a sight to behold, the beauty that stood before him. As he took in her features, Nexus still had look of confusion in his eyes and couldn't help but help but wonder who this beautiful girl was.
Nexus's confused eyes gained a slight clarity as he took a closer look at the young, beautiful girl before him. "On it's you, Nyx," he murmured.
"Yes, Your Highness," the young girl called Nyx replied with a slight bow.
Nexus's countenance was not looking good; his face was bloodlessly pale with no hint of color. He felt weak all over, unable to even move a finger as his entire body wracked with intense pain.
Glancing at Nyx, Nexus asked weakly, "How long have I been in a coma?"
Nyx raised her head, looked at Nexus, and replied, "Your Highness, you have been in a coma for a month now."
Nexus wore a look of surprise on his pale face as he realized he had been in a coma for an entire month. Assessing his current condition, he let out a bitter laugh, "These people won't even let me live."
Nyx stood by his bedside, her eyes filled with pain and tears as she gazed at Nexus when he heard his words. "Where are we now?" he asked Nyx, who appeared on the brink of tears.
Brushing away the tears from her eyes, Nyx replied, "Your Highness, we are currently in a small Kingdom on a distant continent far from the Empire. However, I am unsure of the specific continent, but Grandpa Kassius is looking into it."
Nexus weakly nodded in understanding and inquired, "And what about Grandma Sora?"
Nyx responded, "She is preparing food in the backyard."
As Nyx gazed at Nexus lying weakly on the bed, her heart ached with sorrow and tears began to flow down her cheeks once more. Nexus, lost in his own thoughts, was startled by the sound of her sobbing and was taken aback to see her in tears.
"Why are you crying, Nyx?" Nexus asked, puzzled by her emotional display.
"Your Highness, how could they treat you this way? You didn't offend them in anyway," Nyx replied, her voice choked with emotion.
Nexus managed a bitter smile and reassured her, "Don't cry Nyx, I am not going to die, so you don't have to cry, ok. Quickly wipe your tears away. I promise I will recover quickly."
Nyx nodded, wiping her tears away, and turned to Nexus once more. "Your Highness, I will go check if Grandma Sora has finished preparing the meal."
"Very well," Nexus agreed, relieved to see Nyx stop crying.

Nexus watched Nyx leave the room and let out a soft sigh. As he settled into his thoughts, he reflected on the challenges he had faced over the past two decades in this unfamiliar world.
Nexus was not originally from this world; he had transmigrated from a different world called Earth.
His real name is Nexus Astaseul.
On Earth, Nexus had lived a life of luxury. His father, a wealthy businessman with a vast business empire spanning multiple industries, and his mother, from a prominent political family, had provided him with everything one could desire. However, despite their material wealth, Nexus's family lacked happiness.
His father's infidelity, with numerous mistresses and illegitimate children, had cast a shadow over their home. The marriage between Nexus's parents had been one of convenience, rather than love, for the benefit of their families.
Nexus felt a deep sympathy for his mother, who had truly loved him. Growing up, he developed a strong aversion to men who maintained multiple relationships outside of marriage.
Witnessing such behavior filled him with disgust and reinforced his belief in the importance of loyalty and commitment in relationships.
Nexus struggled to comprehend his deep-seated aversion towards men who maintained relationships with multiple women. Initially, he believed such peculiar behavior was exclusive to women, but he eventually concluded that it was the presence of multiple women in a man's life that led to familial discord.
Consequently, Nexus harbored a strong resentment towards his father, to the extent that their relationship was strained and they struggled to see eye to eye.
This disdain for his father's behavior also resulted in Nexus being isolated from his peers within the upper echelons of society. Many of his contemporaries engaged in casual relationships with multiple partners, changing companions as frequently as they changed their boxers.
Nexus found himself ostracized at social gatherings, where he was often the subject of ridicule and mockery due to his disapproval of such behavior. This, in turn, caused his father to lose face among his social circle, further exacerbating the tension between father and son.
Despite these challenges, Nexus found solace in the unwavering love and support of his mother. Their bond remained unbreakable, providing him with a sense of stability and comfort amidst the turmoil within his family. Nexus held his mother in the highest regard, cherishing the love she bestowed upon him.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Life can be incredibly unpredictable at times. When Nexus was just eighteen years old, his life took a drastic turn. He was involved in a horrific accident that resulted in the loss of both of his legs, and tragically, his mother also lost her life while shielding him from harm.
Nexus will never forget the last words his mother spoke to him before she passed away - "Live on, Nexus. Live happily." Despite the immense grief he felt at losing his mother, Nexus was surprisingly unfazed by the news that he would never walk again. He mourned and wept for a long period, struggling to come to terms with his new reality.
It took him two years to emerge from the depths of his despair, finding solace in the memories of his mother and the strength she had shown in protecting him. Nexus became emotionally detached and indifferent to the world around him, his heart hardened by the pain and loss he had endured.
After the loss of his mother, Nexus found himself feeling isolated and disconnected from his father.
The lack of empathy from his father, coupled with the loss of his legs, strained their relationship to the point of near non-existence. Nexus harbored a deep resentment towards his father, who viewed him as a burden and an eyesore.
In an attempt to provide for Nexus, his father sent him to live in a small villa in the countryside, with a nanny to attend to his daily needs. Nexus, feeling unwanted and unloved, accepted this arrangement eagerly, eager to escape the city that had become a living nightmare for him.
Living in the countryside brought Nexus a sense of peace and relaxation.
As a lifelong lover of reading, Nexus had amassed an impressive collection of books on a wide range of subjects, rivaling even the libraries of top universities. He delved into books on politics, business, management, finance, and economics, using them to expand his knowledge and understanding of the world.
Utilizing his father's connections without his knowledge, Nexus acquired recipes and blueprints from various industries, eager to learn how things were made. Though he missed his mother dearly, Nexus found solace in his books, which helped to alleviate some of his loneliness.
Unfortunately, fate seemed to have a cruel sense of humor when Nexus turned twenty-five years old. His villa was engulfed in flames, with the intensity of the fire growing rapidly. Nexus was in his private library at the time, completely unaware of the danger surrounding him.
To make matters worse, his nanny, who usually took care of him, was not present in the house.
She had gone to visit her family in the city, leaving Nexus alone in the burning villa. Despite his attempts to call for help, the telephone lines were not working. He also struggled to escape from the library, but the exit was blocked and his legs were rendered useless, confined to a wheelchair.
Nexus tried everything in his power to flee the inferno, but his efforts were in vain. Feeling helpless and resigned to his fate, he made the decision to accept his impending death and reunite with his mother in the afterlife. As the flames consumed the villa, Nexus perished in the fire.
By the time the firefighters were alerted to the blaze, it was too late. The villa had been reduced to ashes, and Nexus's body was never recovered. It was a tragic end to a young life, lost in the merciless grip of fate.
Nexus believed he was dead and felt a sense of relief from the life he had known before.
He considered death not to be a negative outcome, as it would mean reuniting with his mother.
However, a feeling of unease crept over him as he sensed his was still breathing and surroundings were quite chaotic with faint noises.
Upon opening his eyes, he was utterly shocked, his jaw nearly dropping to the ground.
