Out of Minnie, Rachel, and her father Nathaniel, the one person Aurora thought she could trust was Minnie but she had been wrong this entire time. Minnie spoke of her more as an item than a family member.
Growing up, Aurora never expected kindness from Rachel because she understood how hard it must've been looking into the eyes of her husband's mistress child each day. Her father rarely spoke to anyone out loud but Minnie, she always made it seem like she cared for Aurora when in fact she had other plans. Thinking the way Minnie treated her must've been a lie this entire was what broke her heart.
Aurora felt chills spread over her body at the mention she would be put to rest and return normal in the end. Aurora had no idea what the family wanted with her nor why Minnie said she was the heart of the family but all she did know was, she had been living with strangers this entire time. Aurora thought she knew the people she saw every day but she didn't.
Her mind could not stop thinking that maybe, just maybe, Regina and Samuel shared the same secret and Aurora was the only one left out of it. She slowly backed away from Minnie and Rachel who were still arguing. Aurora tried her best not to be heard or seen by the two of them. The thought that the kind face she always saw from Minnie might change if they found out she was eavesdropping scared her.
Aurora wanted to believe that she was dreaming. She was still in that dream in the forest where she first saw the wolf and never woke up. This was all one big nightmare she had yet to awaken from and it tortured her each day making her think bad things about her family.
'It's time to wake up now,' she pleaded with her body. Aurora did not like knowing Minnie wanted her around for ulterior motives. She wanted to wake up from this nightmare. The beast and this new Minnie were all just a nightmare. 'Please. Please wake up right now.'
Aurora opened her eyes still in Madame Eloise's store. It wasn't a dream nor a nightmare but reality. It wasn't safe for her to be around her own family but she didn't even have a clue why. Now she was partially understanding why the wolf said it wanted to save her. She didn't know what her connection to the werewolf was but there was some truth that she needed to be saved from her family.
Aurora hurried back inside her changing room before anyone noticed her. Madame Eloise and her attendants were still checking on Regina, so the area was clear for her to return without being noticed.
Aurora closed the changing room door, locked it, but kept her hand in the door as if someone was going to break in and come for her. She felt scared for her life and even more unsure of who she was. Hesitantly, she took her hand off of the door and backed away from it. She no longer wanted to be here trying on dresses and didn't even care to see more of the town. She just wanted to go back home and barricade herself inside her room.
She felt angry that Minnie had led her on making her think they cared for her. No wonder she felt like a prisoner in what she thought was in her own home. The anger started to fill her mind with negative thoughts about Minnie.
Unexpectedly, something broke behind Aurora startling her. Scared, she turned around to find that a vase had fallen over and broken. But it didn't fall over because Aurora had bumped into it. Upon closer inspection, she saw that the plant inside seemed to have grown larger causing the vase to be broken as it was too small. Aurora looked bewildered as to how the plant would have grown so much. It was just a simple plant you would find in a field.
Careful of the broken glass from the vase, she tried to take up the plant to get a better look at it but as her hand hovered over it, the plant grew again. Aurora gasped, retracting from her hand from the plant but the plant only continued to grow. She also noticed a dark circle by the root of the plant as if it was about to die but it was returning back to normal.
"Did I have something to do with that?" She questioned having a weird feeling in her hand. With everything happening recently, it wasn't wrong to think this might've been her fault. Cautiously, she placed her hand back over the plant expecting it to grow but it didn't. "What was I thinking?" She sighed. Her having the ability to make a flower would be too much.
At least it distracted her from thinking about Minnie for a moment. Now she was back to thinking about what they wanted from her. She missed out on having fun with her life and doing what she wanted because they needed to keep her for their own personal gain. Aurora balled her fists now thinking of her past and how much she was always in her room alone if Regina and Samuel were not allowed to visit her.
The sound of something sizzling was heard and when Aurora looked at the source of the sound, she was surprised to see the plant was burning. The dark spot where the plant was dying had expanded. Above it was her balled fist. Clenching her hand some more, the dark circle continued to grow but when she unfolded her hand, the plant started to grow again.
Aurora paused her actions for a moment removing her hand at first but then tried to make the plant grow again. She placed her hand over the plant again. She thought only of making it grow and this time she was successful in making it grow on her command.
Aurora looked at her hand amazed at what she could do and wondered about other kinds of power she had.
