Damien sighed as he leaned back in his seat. It had been days since he'd caught a glimpse of his mate. Just when he thought everything was going well between them, they seemed to be talking less and less.

She was always busy with something or with someone else. While it gave him time to take care of his duties as Alpha, not seeing his mate around was eating him from within.

'Our mate is avoiding us,' Yukon muttered in defeat.

He grimaced, knowing his wolf was right. No one seemed to mind but him. He knew there were many in the pack who did not like his mate, but they would have to live with it. The elders were coming down hard on him and he'd had to show them he meant business.

They were attempting to introduce suitable Luna candidates to him at every opportunity they had. Damien also knew Safira saw it and wasn't happy about it either. Looking at the pile of paperwork he had completed, Damien had enough.
