It's not about me, yet I can't stop my heart from breaking when I hear those three words.

I hate it.

I knew coming here would help us bond and strengthen our relationship. I should have prepared myself for the truth.

I can't show him I am affected, or he won't tell me anything else ever.

This is the first time Rain is being truthful, not hiding himself from me and how he truly feels. It doesn't matter if I am breaking inside, I have to listen to him and understand him.

I am here to see him, and not a version of myself that I have created to help us be together.

I am not ready to face the fact that I might have … forced myself on him.

"I touched you and forced myself on you," I ground my teeth together, to force my voice from breaking.

I have never cried before. My face is hot and a teardrop rolls down, which I wipe away so quickly.
