'Shit! Where am I?' a heavily wounded young girl asked inwardly as she looked around, checking and surveying the place she had just woken up in.

'What's going on? How did I end up here?' she couldn't help but wonder as she recalled what had happened before blacking out.

She didn't know how long it had been since she had been unconscious and who had saved her from the clutches of death. But what she understood was that someone merciful had saved her and that at least made her feel very peaceful.

Some time ago, since she wasn't sure how long it had been since that night, she had been running for her life.

As a former member of a mercenary team, her job was to escort the rich merchants to and from places. Whatever brought money to the table, her team would take the job.
