Yasmin's gaze roved on his face, surprised at why he was thanking her. She did nothing noteworthy.
"I only wake you up from the nightmare. You don't have to thank me for it."
Declan locked his gaze on her, his arms still wrapped around her waist. It took him a few moments to respond, "I thought I should."
His gentle voice and his loving gaze caught her off guard. This soft side existed in the man who had transformed into a demon out of rage. It gave her a sense of safety and calm.
Yasmin wished it could stay this way forever. She would be delighted if he put his trust in her.
Declan was drawn to her big amber eyes. He couldn't stop his hand from caressing her cheek. He leaned in and kissed her.
