Chapitre 17: Ch.16

Alice and I flew back to California a week before school starts to get everything in order. We know the super moon would be coming in a few months so we spent the last week of summer break getting everything in order.

I signed over all the big corporation stocks to Carlisle and Esme while leaving them instructions and tips on when and how to invest. The smaller stock we owned was split between Scott, Derek, Lydia and Chris. Alice mentioned leaving them something and I agreed.

We may have come into town and helped for the better but we still intruded into heir lives and we owed them something for the trouble we caused. Sheriff Stilinski and V-man's mother received the bulk of our off shore cayman accounts so they were set for a while at least.

Alice and I had spent the three weeks before heading to Beacon Hills with our family. Edward and Bella were happily raising Renesmee while Jacob was there helping like an older brother.

They were all happy and safe when we visited and while they are apart of the vampire council now, they had very little to do other than reinforcing the laws occasionally. When we said goodbye I noticed my powers were still suppressed.

Thinking on the possibilities of what my father had used to do such a thing, I could only come up with him having a piece of me. Other wise it would've worn off the further away I got from him.

After we were done with our preparations we met up with Scott, Liam and Stiles for senior scribe. It was a tradition where the new seniors wrote their initials on the library stack shelves. Liam was currently chained to a tree while Scott and I were in wolf forms watching him with Alice and Stiles.

After midnight the moon passed its apex and we shifted back. Scott of course went behind the Jeep to change and save his modesty. I had no such human compulsions as I shifted in front of the three watching us. Alice handed me some sweat pants and a shirt I slipped on before kissing her lightly. "Thanks love."

Liam grunted. "Can you unchain me? I'm fine."

Scott spoke up. "Sorry but we had to be sure especially after the last full moon."

Liam sighed. "I'm really good now."

Stiles snorted. "A dozen calls of a naked dog boy running around downtown. Not exactly confidence inspiring."

Scott frowned. "Yeah, why were you naked?"

Liam shrugged. "It was hot that night."

I chuckled. "That's a bad excuse."

Alice smacked my chest. "It's not like you haven't done the same."

I shrugged. "We're talking about him thank you, me being naked and running around really shouldn't surprise anyone by now."

Liam raised an eyebrow and Stiles asked. "Yeah why do you do that?"

I shrugged. "I'm not exactly wearing clothes when I'm a wolf and my partial shift destroys all but the stretchiest of stretch pants now. After a while you get used to being naked. Not to mention I spent the better part of six thousand years in a cave in the middle of a forest. Not exactly the best place to find clothes unless it's animal skins and that just felt wrong."

Scott's eyebrows went up and I ignored his looks while Alice smiled a little. I took her hand before reaching over and shattering the chains that bound Liam. "For the next month Scott will help you build your own mind scape."

Scott asked. "I will?"

I snorted. "Yes you will. You should've done it long before now. You already know how to get it started and build on it. He's your pack member, actually I'm surprised you haven't done so for Stiles as well already. It helps the memory and cognitive process. Not to mention it helps to defend your minds from other things like possession and telepaths. If practiced right they could even resist the claws. Though only for a short while."

Stiles spoke up. "It didn't help Boyd any."

I winced. "There's a difference though, a kitsune is nothing when compared to a demon so old it was around before the concept of time. He stood no chance with his mind scape at the basic level. I myself will have a very hard time dealing with him when the time comes."

Stiles asked. "Yeah, when is that exactly? My dad said he received some random bank accounts with several million from you."

I brushed it off while Alice told them. "We're just preparing for the worst case scenario. The money and accounts are yours and your fathers now. Odds are if we win we'll be to far away to use them ever again. If we loose, well, this planet will become hell on earth and they won't matter. So we've given our friends some stock and cash as a going away present. The rest of our family received the bulk of it so there's no reason not to except."

Liam asked. "Do I get anything?"

I chuckled. "Sure why not. I'll tell you what, the day before we leave to confront my father I'll tell you the locations of several treasure stashes and let you go on a hunt of your own. It won't be much, just around half a billion in gold and jewels."

Scott nearly choked while Liam grinned. "Alright, sounds fun."

Alice smiled her dazzling smile and told him. "You'll have to share with your friends and family of course. It's a bit much for one person to have."

Liam shrugged. "I'm cool with that."

We left the clearing to head for the school when the cars shut down. I hopped out and looked around. I smelled the ozone changes around us and told them. "Stay in the vehicles, lightning is about to strike."

I turned just as lightning started striking the road in different places. After five strikes, one of which nearly hit me, the vehicles started up again. I hopped back in the car and we took off again. Alice and I went to the school while Scott and the rest went to the hospital to drop off Liam with his stepfather whose a surgeon there.

We picked up Malia on the way to the school to save them the trip. Not long after we arrived Lydia found us. She went on and on about it being a tradition and a right of passage. A little while later Scott, Kira and Stiles showed up telling us about a strange werewolf with glowing claws.

When he showed them to me I took one whiff and told him. "Whatever he is, he's not a werewolf. It smells wrong, like a science experiment mixed with some sweet metallic smells. Take them to Deaton when you get a chance. It smells unnatural like someone is playing with the supernatural laws of physics. If I didn't know any better I'd say whoever did it to the guy was trying to make some type of artificial hybrid."

That was entirely concerning and even Alice thought so if her look said anything. I knew the dread doctors were behind it but it had a familiar smell to it as well that Alice picked up from my thoughts.

On the way to the library I texted Chris and Braeden what I suspected and let them deal with it. If it turns out to be true we may have a problem. Either way it's as close to a lead as we've had in a long time.

After putting away my phone I stood in line with the rest of my classmates. When it was our turn I heard a voice I hadn't expected to be here. Scott and the rest must've heard it as well because their gazes mimicked mine. There nearly at the end of the line stood Alison and Isaac.

Chuckling to myself I took the marker and put R.C as my initials on the book shelf before standing back and passing the marker to Alice. She took it with a smile and wrote her initials beside mine before passing it on to the next person in line, Lydia.

After Lydia wrote her initials we followed her to the two lovebirds in the back of the line. Lydia asked Alison when we got their attention. "When did you get back in town? How have you been? I haven't seen you since you took off for France!"

Alison smiled. "We got back in town this morning. My dad decided to move us back as his work is here. We're doing great actually, I spent most of the summer at my ancestors cabin in the south of France. I'm sorry I haven't exactly been in touch, with all that happened my dad was reluctant to have us risk more supernatural incidents."

Lydia nodded in agreement. "I hear you, my mom has been on edge since the whole dead pool thing. She's barely let me go out and have fun unless I'm with friends and even then she makes them swear to bring me back in one piece."

The girls got to talking while I asked Isaac. "Are you going to try rejoining Derek's pack?"

He smirked and flashed his silver eyes. "Now why would I go and do that?"

I chuckled. "You've grown well. It seems France agreed with you. Congratulations on your alpha status, I couldn't even tell. I take it you've been practicing masking your scent?"

He nodded. "I spent the last month since you left France practicing. I didn't think it would actually fool your senses."

I shrugged. "The smell of fresh sex and cologne dulled it along with your practice. Maybe you and Scott can practice together now and grow further."

He looked shocked. "Scott's an alpha as well?"

It was my turn to grin. "I gave him the bite a few months before I visited you. He took a while to ascend to alpha status because of his clearly moral perspective. In the end he barely made it. Something about his nature refused to except the wolf at first."

Isaac turned to see Scott heading over flashing his aqua blue eyes. I stood back so Isaac could see them better as he came closer. After everyone finished writing our initials and vandalizing the school library we headed out.

It had been raining for a while and now it was pouring so we had to wait till it slowed down. The first month of our senior year went by in a blur as the super moon approached. Chimeras ran wild and wreaked havoc as Scott and his pack tried to stop the dread doctors from killing any more kids in their experiments.

Chris finally made headway the night La bete through the Beacon Hills high school sign into the school roof.

When he informed me he'd successfully followed the dread doctors back to their current lair under the water treatment plant, Alice and I prepared ourselves. We met Chris just outside the entrance and went in together.

He stopped at the hidden door and I told him evenly. "You've done enough. The money has been wired into your account. Tell Braeden the same. It's time you left Argent, you want no part of what's about to happen."

He shook his head. "How can I be sure you won't get possessed and destroy everything?"

I shrugged. "You can't. At least not until it's too late either way."

He seemed to understand this wasn't his fight so when Alice went to thank him I slipped behind her and broke her neck. As a vampire I knew it wouldn't kill her, only disable her until she'd healed.

She fell and I caught her before handing her body to him. "The last job I have for you. Take her with you, I-I can't have her die or worse be possessed right in front of my own eyes. I'll be facing my father alone."

He sighed and I told him. "The extra payment is in the loft. And Argent-"

He raised an eyebrow. "What?"

I sighed. "Be careful. La bete du Gévaudan has been reborn. Perhaps it's time you called in backup to take it down for good. Might I suggest a certain banshee and the myth of saying a werewolf's Christian name."

He caught on before nodding and leaving. When I heard him start his car I turned to the ouroboros symbol on the wall. With a quick spin the wall beside it opened up. The moment I stepped inside I saw the dread doctors and their experiments.

One of them turned to me and spoke in a modulated voice. "You are a little early my son. This is unexpected."

I grinned and shifted into my partial form before charging. He through up a sound frequency that gave me a severe migraine as I tackled his body and jammed my claws into the back of his neck through the rubber and metal lining.

Our minds instantly became the battle ground as we both fought for control. I could feel he was meant to be far stronger but the lack of demonic energy in this dimension severely dampened his power while the nemeton was no longer functioning. As far as our current mind goes it was pretty even in that his was a burning mass of sheer force and evil while mine was a concentrated and organized galaxy.

Time lost all meaning as our minds continued to wage war. Every now and then he would push farther into my own while I retreated slowly and never gave up more than he forced me to. Once I felt the whole of his consciousness enter my mind I cut off the path of escape by tearing the head off his former body.

Unfortunately that gave him the chance he'd been waiting for and he struck, destroying half of my mind scape in a single blow. I retreaded further into myself to preserve my core self and what remained of my mind scape.

My mind then became a divided ocean as we both fought for control of my body. Even weakened an old one's mind and sheer willpower was astonishing. The trap I'd laid out for him was just inside the barrier I'd managed to erect between us. Unfortunately, the bodily functions and controls were on his side of said barrier and he most certainly used that to his advantage.

He made a barrier of his own around mine trapping me inside my own mind, effectively taking over. While I could see everything he was doing, I had absolutely no ability to stop him. He stood up in my body and spoke to the other two doctors. "Success is immanent. La bete is reborn. Our deal ends here."

He picked up his cane sword with my hands and left them there. I could tell my physical features were changing now as red replaced my normal vision. He headed to the nemeton where several dead bodies awaited us there and jumped into the cellar bellow.

There I saw an old pelt I recognized as one of my own the Romanian's had skinned off me one full moon for amusement. He picked up the torch next to it and lit it on fire. Once he was done with that he snuffed our a black candle with a blue flame.

I instantly felt my visions return in full force. I saw myself being used to return to Sunnydale and opening the hellmouth. My body was nothing more than a means to an end for him. He planned to bleed that dimension dry to reform another body.

I was shocked to see him effortlessly using my nature powers to slowly regrow the nemeton from the stump that it once was. As the sun began to set I felt Alice's mind reconnect with my own. Luckily he hadn't noticed yet as the connection was on my side of the mental barriers.

I could tell she was immediately aware of the situation and was doing something about it though I couldn't see what. Once the super moon came out I heard him roar as his barrier weakened and his side shook. Being a werewolf wasn't his natural state nor was it apart of his powers.

That's when I felt it, a dark pulsing sensation deep in my mind deeper that I'd ever thought possible. If I didn't know any better I'd say it was my soul. I felt the pulsing sensation quicken as a primal roar escaped my lips from the outside.

I felt and eventually saw it come out in the form of a wolf with pitch black smoke rolling off of it. It flew through my barrier and crashed into my fathers as both of them went to war over my body. Weakened as I was I could only watch from the sidelines as they battered each other until the super moon forced my body to physically shift.

The wolf gained the upper hand as the moon seemed to strengthen it. I felt it's connection to me through the hot bubbling rage I'd barely kept suppressed. It seemed to feed off of that as well so I unleashed it all.

My mind was sent into turmoil as a three way war broke out. If anyone was watching from the outside they'd see a midnight black wolf with black smoke drifting off of it as it curled up on the ground in agony. After I fueled the wolf with my unending rage it dragged me into the fight somewhat.

It had shattered my fathers barrier and was ripping and tearing at his essence while my own barrier fell from their collisions. My father took the chance to try leading it into my territory I'd barely saved from our last bout.

The wolf followed readily as Alice and everyone that we'd ever met seemed to show up all at ounce. Derek and his wolves, Scott and his pack. Even Parish and Lydia. For what seemed like eternity I watched as they surrounded us, my only hope now was for them to flee immediately.

Alice joined me. "We have a plan, I just need you to trust me."

I sighed. "Always love."

She smiled sadly before turning to see the two demons battling it out not far from the trap. She spoke. "We help the wolf to push Maloker into the trap."

I nodded. "And what about the wolf?"

She sighed. "I'm hoping it won't be out long, as it seems to be feeding on the super moon to stay awake. I've been monitoring it since I woke up. Thanks for that by the way, once we're out of this mess you're in so much trouble!"

I smiled sheepishly as the last of my outside defenses was destroyed. "No time like the present."

We both attacked as one and while our attacks did very little in the way of damage it still gave the wolf room to attack as well, forcing Maloker back further right to the very edge of the trap. I roared and tackled him, sending him into the maw where the trap activated.

For a moment I thought I'd end up in there with him until I felt myself being flung back. Alice had grabbed my mental avatar and jumped using the wolf as leverage to get away as the trap activated and sealed Maloker in.

I had one moment of a breather before we were both being stared down by the growling demonic wolf. As it tackled me I shoved Alice away and effectively booted her back to her mind.

The wolf bit into me as I felt my mind scape quake from the agony of it. Wolf used that opportunity to take over my body. I retreated to heal and repair my mind as the wolf went wild outside. It focused my plant powers on fixing the nemeton and finishing Maloker's work while my physical body fought the packs and Alice.

Just when I finished healing so to did the nemeton and in that moment a portal opened at its base. Alice yelled. "Now! Ryan take control!"

I didn't even hesitate as I tackled the demonic wolf and began the struggle anew. Our body stood stock still and I heard Alice tell them. "We need to do it, he can't hold on for much longer! Get him to the edge, I'll do the rest."

Out of nowhere arrows and bullets rained down on my pelt and I roared as I felt actual pain from them. My wolf form retreated as blood poured on the ground everywhere I stepped. The demon wolf ripped into my side as I felt Alice tackle me, sending us both into the portal that slammed shut behind us.

Without the super moon's effect the demonic wolf was forced to retreat yet again into me. We came out on top of some kind of demonic plant monster I'd swear was related to the plant from little shop of horrors.

It went to attack us until I roared. My body was already beaten and bloody but my power over plants forced it back in some instinctual fear. I was actually in the process of shifting back.

The tunnel we were in was covered by a satanic man hole cover I recognized as the Seal of Danzalthar. I would know it anywhere as it's currently being used in the trap that I'd built for my father which by the way seems to have been overkill though I don't regret it at all.

With the seal above us and the plant demon below us cowering while we stood on a small ledge I had to wonder if this was the same dimension the first evil used to house his army of ancient vampires. I couldn't actually see anything beyond the plant demon so it was a moot point right now.

We sat there for what seemed like eternity talking about my injuries and the reasoning behind her insane plan to potentially send us to a demons paradise. That earned me a smack upside the head when I'd really left her no good options. After what felt like a month I'd finished repairing and rebuilding my mind scape from scratch.

After the first few days Alice told me. "I kept your promise and told Liam and the rest the locations of the safety deposit boxes of gold and jewels and their keys in exchange for their help in seeing that we didn't lose. "

After that I'd spent most of my time in silent meditation while she bit me occasionally to stave off the hunger. As the month long wait came to pass the seal started to open as if by luck.

The plant demon moved then and passed us as it stretched itself to get the heck out of this place. As it passed through the opening Alice grabbed me and jumped, grabbing onto the last tentacle neck of it on its way out.

I was physically to weak at the moment to do so for myself until we arrived on the other side. I felt the call of the full moon and grunted as she set me down in what appeared to be the library of a school. I roared as my body shifted and power returned to me.

The moment I was done I saw several teenagers and an old librarian watching me warily as they fought the tentacles of the plant demon. Alice and I moved in a blur as we tore apart the plant. It couldn't even fight back as it screeched in agony and died.

The old librarian continued his chant with the redhead as a barrier of what I can only describe as magic formed and sealed the seal back up. When they stopped chanting the black haired female in leather turned on us with her knives. "What do we have here? A vampire and werewolf straight from the hellmouth."

I growled deeply as I bared my teeth. Alice nearly passed out as a wave of dizziness hit us both. I ran to her side and she slid onto my back before I ran the hell out of there. I felt my body weakening as a force was pressing down on it I had never felt before.

We made it to an abandoned warehouse before I had to stop. Alice passed out and soon enough I joined her. The force was simply to strong to resist.

Some time later I came awake smelling burning flesh and saw Alice's hand had caught fire from the sunlight. I moved her into the shadows and swore to myself.

This world must have its own laws to contend with. Vampires burned in the sunlight and didn't sparkle while werewolves were forced to stay wolves all night long for the full three nights around and of the full moon.

For some reason I sensed I was still an exception as it was revered from the world we'd come from. I was now only forced to turn on the full moon. As I figured it out a sense of rightness washed over me.

I stuck my own hand out into the sunlight and while it tingles a little it certainly wasn't unpleasant or burning. Seeing this as a good thing I began to plan for the future. We were now stuck in this chaotic demon infested world and would be subject to its laws.

As Alice woke up I entered her mind through the connection that thankfully was still there. I showed her my conclusions and showed her her own hand before telling her. "We need to be careful from now on. Wait here and I'll go and get the Gem of Amara for you. I have a pretty good idea where it's at and although this worlds laws are strict on us I should still be decently strong for a nine thousand year old vampire."

As a matter of fact I'd only lost a little strength and the durable diamond sparkles from my human form while I couldn't tell about my wolf form just yet as I didn't want to risk loosing control or worse waking up the demonic wolf inside me.

She sighed with a smile. "I'll wait here, but you'd better be careful. I won't loose you to some dumb slayer."

I chuckled as I took off. I headed for the closest laundry mat and stole some clothes, streaking there. After I took the clothes I managed to find a town map and get directions from a very willing bartender named Willie.

He gave me the general direction for UC Sunnydale. I stole a car and drove there before finding the road that I'd heard collapse from Spikes digging in the show. From there it was as simple as following my nose to where the dead bodies and crypt was.

I dug and punched my way through the dirt until I felt it give way. The stench of decay was heavy in the air now as I fell into the crypt. I switched to my wolf vision as the dark lit up in bright green. I walked around for a few minutes till I found the gem of Amara and put it on.

The rest of the stuff I carefully put in a sack and carried out on my back. I had to be extremely careful as I knew at least some of it was cursed. Fortunately it was mostly gold and jewelry so it'd be easy enough to fence for extra cash. I jumped out of the hole and reburied it before placing a log over it to cover up the dig sight.

I drove back to Sunnydale and dropped the stolen car off where I'd picked it up. I ran the rest of the way to the warehouse where Alice was waiting. When I entered I found her sitting by the back wall watching the sunlight.

I grinned and walked over taking the ring off my finger and showing it to her. "Here love, I got you a present. Take off your shoe."

She smiled and slid off her left boot and I took her foot. I slid off the sock and put the gem of Amara on her middle toe. I handed her a cross that seemed to have no effect on me. I wasn't a Christian to start off with and I knew for a fact there were gods and goddesses out there.

I only ever prayed to Gaia so the cross literally meant nothing to me except money as it was gold with gems encrusted in it. She took it and nothing happened so I motioned for her to put a hand in the sunlight. When she did so and no fire came we both smiled.

I slid the sock back on and helped her into her black boot. She stood up now and smiled. "So what's next?"

I chuckled. "After we head head to LA we get some documents from Wolfram and Heart saying we really live here. They'll dense the gold and jewels along with the cursed objects for us. Then we come back here and settle down for a while. I have it on good authority things will get very interesting soon enough."

She agreed with my plan and we took off. I stole a volts wagon and she drove to LA at high speeds. With our visions having returned it was easy enough to avoid the cops. When we got to LA we left the car in Wolfram and Heart's parking lot.

When I stepped into their lobby I felt a shiver pass over me as my senses increased exponentially. Something about this place set my wolf senses on edge and made the demonic essence inside me stir.

Before we made it to the reception desk a lawyer stepped forwards saying. "The names Lindsey McDonald. Our senior partners warned us you'd be stopping by. When our telepaths picked up your energy it sent up a bunch of red flags. I'll be your liaison for today and you must be the old one. Not many of your kind walking around these days."

I growled and he backed up. Alice spoke up while stepping in front of me and shaking his hand. "I'm Alice Masters, my mate here is Ryan Masters and we've come to get some documentation for this reality. From what I here this is the place to get it. We also need to sell this gold and jewelry as soon as possible. Preferably before we leave here."

I tossed the sack of things onto the reception desk saying. "Some if it's cursed. Feel free to test it all out before you buy, but make it quick we have places to be."

Lindsey smiled. "Of course."

He got to work calling their people to go over the gold and jewels. While another group of people took down information Alice gave them to make our background and history. With a thought I began releasing my aura into the air and after a few moments I noticed the humans in the office with us had stopped breathing.

I reigned it in saying. "Sorry, I tend to get bored easily, you may want to hurry up."

My claws were out now and digging into the desk as I tapped my fingers on them. Alice had them use some of the money to purchase a house in Sunnydale and a yellow Porsche. After that most of the money we'd gotten was spent so I did one last thing before leaving, I stuck my claws into the back of Lindsey's neck and sifted through his memories.

When I found what I wanted I withdrew and erased the memory of me doing so from his mind. We walked out the door with a hundred grand in cash with the documents in a duffle bag and the Porsche waiting for us. Alice drove us to the nearest tattoo parlor where we both got inked up.

Our skin was no longer anywhere near as tuff and while the ring healed her all she had to do was take it off while she was getting the ink done. Once she slipped it back on the gem just left it be as if it was natural. We were both covered in enochian tattoos now that his us from scrying and the eyes of any and all higher beings.

Heck, even cameras couldn't see us now. After we were done we tipped the tattoo artist an extra grand for the short notice and left to head to the nearest mall. After Alice had a little shopping spree we headed back to Sunnydale where our new life awaited.

With our new transcripts we are going to join the senior class in graduating in three months. Alice just mimicked our grades and credits so we really only had one class until then. Wolfram and Heart really were quite efficient in their dealings, evil or not.

Our house was actually the fraternity house Buffy had killed the snake demon in a couple years ago so it was fairly cheap. Alice had a lot of fun giving it a makeover and while she did that I thought it appropriate to go grave robbing. My first stop was to steal the amulet of Balthazar from the Gleaves family crypt.
