Chapitre 5: The wedding preparations
As Vanessa and Lyla walked down the plank onto the Dock I looked them over. They were both as beautiful as I remember and while I never previously had any romantic thoughts about them I have had many lustful ones.
As they arrived in front of me they both curtsied and then I lifted their hands and gave a small kiss to each. They both blushed which I expected I'm not dumb enough to not notice my own attraction and I have slept with women in highschool and college. So flirting dating and sex was nothing new to me. That is one of the things I find irritating, more and more men are becoming feminine in their actions because of how they are raised and practically follow women's orders all the time.
Luckily my father raised me right and because of it I had a great highschool and college life without women holding me back as I don't bother chasing after them. Either were interested in eachother or were not and seeing their blushes they most definitely are. "How was your trip" I asked my uncle knowing we are being watched and asking anything but that would be suspicious like my sister this morning. Last thing I need is my people thinking I'm going mad. "It was fine a bit too long to stay away from the castle though" he said as we all got on bourses with me helping my brides to be. "Understandable a week here and you should be back on your way" I said getting on my own horse and starting tword the castle.
..... At the castle
As we were entering the main hall for lunch and the servants had everything on the table already I dismissed them so we can talk in private without being overheard. My uncle told his sons to go make sure the men are set up and everything is right.
"So you have sons now?" I questioned knowing he always wanted some but when his wife died giving birth to his girls he swore he would give them all the love he could which stopped him from remarrying. "Ya three boys two of them twins with the eldest being my spitting image" he said happily. "That's got to be lucky" I said happy for him. "Nope the heir will always look like the player is it's the body they inhabit if they die so they can keep going" he said probably wondering why I dont know that. "Guess you get the knowledge as it happens" I stated with it making sense no reason to just have a book on it when it will just tell you when needed. "What about the girls what happens to them?" I asked. This time it was Evelyn that answered "We get a bit of a choice, we can chose a descendent of ours as well like a daughter or granddaughter, we can also chose to inhabit a women from our main family again even if we were with our husbands family for a while. And lastly if your heir was betrothed to a women matching our appearance we can inhabit them under some circumstances like you have to be that heir when we get married so only once your character dies can that happen." She answered with her proud attitude. "That's good so no matter what we will always be family even in the game" I said happily. After our parents died and I started to care for Evelyn alone I've never wanted to be apart from them so family means a lot to me.
After the lunch was finished I ordered the wedding preparations to be started while we all went to look a bit more over our systems.
While sitting in my bed going through it in the shop I saw something that as soon as I saw it sent a message to my system like a notification. System task- 'build a teleporter' the description said it could be built in the castle court yard and said how it worked. Every head of house was given just enough system currency for the purchase of it and what it did is shorten travel time by ten times. Say my uncle desired to come visit my lands, him with up to 30 people can make the trip in a bit less than a moon rather than the nine it took him.
The best purpose of this though is so players can interact with eachother more and there is a lot more activity. No one likes a game where you are spending months on a ship. Because a year in game is 8 hours in the real world. Everyone logs on and off at the same time. This way the world keeps working and no one becomes to dissociated from reality and can go to college etc. There is some limit to it like a player must be among those thirty using it or in the case of the AI they just inherently won't use it for nefarious purposes as it's specifically in their coding.
After seeing this I immediately went down to my courtyard after purchasing it to see it standing their. It was like an ancient stone gateway with a glowing blue bubble like portal(Think stargate portal). The people seem to know it's there but in a way that it's been there their whole life. Something I didn't think of but it appears the game already thought about how weird it would be for it to just show up so programmed it into existence as if it's always been their. System reward-'New System Function' seing the new message I head back up to my room to see what it was about. It appeared there is a new communication interface but only for the immediate region which for me is a small part of what would one day be White Harbor.
There were already a few people communicating back and forth with the vast majority of them being Knight houses and extended nobility. A few of them were even from my own realm as I like any other landed Lord have 20 knight houses sworn to me 8 of them being player houses and 3 of the other 12 had players in them just not the head of their house. So I changed where the message was being sent with the perimeters of my own realm and sent a message to the players. 'Message from Elijah Goldblood Lord of Goldport' "all players in my own realm are to come to my castle so we can talk get to know eachother and for my wedding" immediately after a few of them messaged back immediately with diffrent types of responses one saying I can't order him but the others are more curious about the marriage while one said he is in the middle of his own marriage as well. There were still a few without messages which I would give a day to answer as it may take them a bit longer to find the mission.
"Well time for dinner with uncle Leo in a bit" I said to myself while lying down for a short nap as even though it's not real I feel exhausted. Worrying about the feasco. what to do about the disobedient player knight who still has some sort of modern ideals about the game, my wedding, and a lot of other stuff.
