Shastri thought " The bus is moving near the destination, but sleep is still far away..."
He thought that it a good plan to book a bus from Bangalore to Sadashivapura, his village. He had also praised himself for being economical.
But now? As it was weekend the bus was overcrowded then the usual and a passenger beside him fell on his shoulder again and again as though he had no spine.
Shastri was annoyed. His whole journey was spent either listening to endless chattering of others or straigthtening the person beside him. As he considered himself magnanimous he could only endure it.
As it was 4'O Clock in the morning Shastri spent his time watching the surroundings. As the bus was speeding up and the trees were falling behind Shastri was in a pure bliss. The fresh air of the Western Ghats coming through the windows also helped in uplifting his mood.
Suddenly there was a bang and the bus came to a abrupt stop. Shastri almost banged up the front seat and stood up cursing. He had almost lost his handsome face.
The bus was suddenly bustling with activity. The passengers who had woken up from their sweet dreams were cursing almost all the family members of the driver, conductor, politicians.
The conductor went in front to check out the situation. The conductor went in front to check out the situation. Suddenly his trembling voice was heard "Somebody, please call the police!!!"
These word made the passengers panic. Some of the passengers who had brave hearts went out to check the situation. Shastri who was also curious went down to check the situation.
In front of the bus lay the damaged bike. It had taken quite a hit. The headlights were broken and front of the bikes were damaged. Even the bus had taken the hit.
Near the bike lay the unfortunate rider. There was quite a bit of blood oozing from the wounds. But the most unnerving scene would be the stiff smile in the face of the corpse.....
