Chapitre 235: Their Worst Nightmare Imagined

Galen's heart hadn't recovered from Ebari that morning. He was trying to hold himself together and eventually resigned himself to playing with Basileus Jr. on the floor while Solana prepared a quick meal and they would have to go back into the safe area in Varya's room. 

At one point he even brought out the walkie-talkie in case there was a message from other imperial guards. He was on edge in case of any emergencies. 

Basil ran away from Galen when he heard Solana announce that breakfast was ready. Just like the Basilian guard, the child was food motivated as well.

Solana offered Galen food as well and he thanked her, excited to assuage his growling stomach once and for all. 

When he was halfway through eating and Solana had sat down next to him with her own plate, Galen's fork paused midway up to his mouth when he heard the crackling of static coming from the walkie-talkie sitting on the counter next to him.
