Come, come and be free, come and end the curse that is your life, the blade keeps beckoning to me. Come and finally be free of the suffering that is weighing down on your tired and weary soul. Come and be free, come and be free, young one, so the blade calls. Come, come and free yourself.

I get to my feet, surprised to find that I'm not shaking anymore. Ah, I feel like a heavy weight has been lifted off of my shoulders. 

Ah, I've found it, the answer to my suffering, I've found it. I can't be wrong. I'll go and meet them now.

I approach the blade, pulling it from where it's been embedded. It doesn't take much strength to pull it out.

It's heavy. I remember watching Baldo swing this sword and imagining how heavy it must be. Now I know, it really is heavy. But it's also light, as light as a feather. Yes, it's because this is the answer to my question.

I place the blade against my neck.
