Chapitre 427: Was That Not Love?

Thankfully, that whole incident blew over without any further fuss. Drake didn't need anything else making his wife suspicious of him. 

He had known this was a gamble from the start but thought it would be okay as long as there were certain conditions involved. The problem as they grew closer was that he didn't want to keep secrets from her. She always felt bad when she accidentally asked a question he couldn't answer and he didn't want that. But he couldn't tell her either!

He didn't know what he was supposed to do. He was at a stalemate here. 

Drake knew that he was only feeling conflicted because he cared about Sylvie more than he had anticipated when this all started out. He had wanted to be loved. He hadn't expected to love her back. 

Not that he was entirely sure that was what this was…but he undeniably cared about her and wanted her to be happy. Was that not love?
