Chapitre 331: Nobody's Ever Told Me That Before

Riley did her best not to question things too much. They were what they were. Dietrian loved her and she loved him. What did it matter exactly how that came to be? 

They were both happy and having fun together. Wasn't that the important thing here? 

But she had to wonder what he wasn't telling her sometimes. Like on his birthday. She only knew when it was because of the time he got carded and he seemed pretty shocked when she made him a cake. 

"Happy birthday, Dietrian! I'm so glad you were born."

He didn't just tear up like usual. He actually started sobbing into her shoulder as he crushed her to him. 

"Are you okay?" Riley asked nervously. 

She felt like she did something wrong but he wouldn't be hugging her if he was actually upset, would he? She had surprised him rather than asking if he wanted to celebrate his birthday though...
