Chapitre 15: Chapter 15: Shocking news

I jolted back to reality when I heard David's voice, I was so focused on talking to Kelly about our past that I totally forgot that we were in David's house.

I quickly told Kelly and David that I was really famished and went downstairs for dinner without looking at David. For some reason I wanted to avoid looking at him.

I asked Kelly to join me but she said she wanted to talk to David so I quickly left them and went downstairs to eat... Meanwhile,

David's and Kelly's conversation:

( David did you actually know that Faith was my childhood best friend.

What!!! Really I didn't even know, wow I can't believe how great I am I reunited to best friends. David said jokingly.

Kelly chukled slightly before saying, "well good for you but may I ask how you managed to convince Faith to be your girlfriend, because as far as I know her she absolutely hates men and I also think she doesn't like you.

David pulled his brows into a knot as he was obviously confused. Why does she hate men so much, I mean apart from forcing her to be my girlfriend I didn't do any other bad thing to her so why does she hate men.

Kelly had a shocked expression on her face, as she was obviously oblivious to the fact that David had actually forced Faith to be his girlfriend but she regained her calm posture before replying.

Well it's not your fault actually when we were still in high school Faith was always been bullied by boys just because she was rich, different boys were always forcing her to date them just so they could use her for her money and anytime she refused they always bullied her and tormented her and it didn't even stop in school, so she just generally started hating men.

David's eyes flashed with anger or something more deadlier than that but they quickly returned to normal like they were never there. He slowly looked up to Kelly and said. " Ok I understand that part but I didn't do any of those things to her so why does she hate me too.

Well even after high school boys still kept bullying her and her hatred for them got worse and she soon started thinking that's all boys were the same.

A short silence followed before David finally looked up again and said. What do you think I can do to make her like me or at least stop hating me.

Kelly had another shocked expression on her face but said nothing about it, before replying to David. " Well..... from the way things are going between you guys I don't think she really likes you but maybe if you start from the beginning like asking her out on a date that would really help to clear things out between you guys.

Excitements flashed in David's eyes and he almost looked like a little kid ashe happily said, "Really, thanks Kelly.

Kelly smiled at him before saying "you're welcome can we finally go to the dining now I'm famished.....")

(FAITH POV):

I wonder why they are not here yet,what could they actually be talking about and I don't even know where my room is. I didn't see where the buttler kept my back, maybe I'll ask Kelly when she comes here.

As I was still lost in thoughts I heard some footprints and saw Kelly and David walking towards the dining and taking their seats the rest of the dinner was silent as no one wanted to see anything but I couldn't really eat as I kept thinking of how I was going to spend two months with someone I barely knew....

Kelly who was busy enjoying her food noticed that Faith wasn't eating much and decided to ask why. " Faith why do you look so tense you aren't even eating."

Faith who was surprised by the sudden question stammered while trying to give a reply. "Oh....uhm.... nothing I was just wondering where my room was, do you know where it is?

I'm sorry Faith but I don't know I think you should ask David. Kelly said honesty.

After hearing Kelly's last sentence Faith felt a little shattered but decided to gather some courage and finally asked David. Uhm.... David, which room am I going to be staying in.

David was quiet for a while before finally saying, "oh did I forget to tell you we will be sharing the same room."

Kelly looked at him utterly shocked as she inwardly said, "Did he forget everything I just told him".

WHAT!!!. Faith screamed looking a little confused as she tried to process what she just heard before she continued, " what do you mean by that I never signed any of that in the contract."

Faith stood up from her chair in anger and stared at David who was still peacefully eating his food. But David how...

Before Faith could finish her sentence a sudden dizziness washed over her as she felt a little lighted, but she tried to shake the feeling away but then all of a sudden everything turned black and she fainted, she was about to hit the ground but David was quick to react a immediately caught her.

Still in shock David gently laid Faith on the chair while Kelly quickly took out her phone and called the doctor. A few minutes later the doctor arrived and quickly checked on Faith after doing the necessary test he informed David of the results and left, but throughout the whole process David felt extremely nervous and anxious and couldn't even relax for a single minute as he was wondering what happened to her.....

(FAITH POV)

I was still talking to David when suddenly I felt dizzy and fainted even as I tried to stop it.....

I could feel the sharp pain in my head as I slowly opened my eyes I was confused and wondered why David and Kelly were both looking at me with worried expressions. I slowly sat up still trying to remember what happened before I fainted.

It slowly came back to me and I felt angry all over again in a fit of rage I stared at David and asked him if he still hasn't changed his mind and to my surprise he said.

" Why would I change my mind?"

I stared at him a little shocked before replying with," But I fainted due to the shock of the news so how do you still not want to change your mind,I knew you were heartless but don't you have any sense of humanity left in you."

I waited for a while to hear David's reply before he finally said. " I also thought you fainted out of shock but the doctor told me it was because you haven't been eating well lately and your blood sugar level was low. The real question here should be why you have been taking your health so carelessly?"

Faith was utterly confused she didn't even know if she should be happy that he at least cared about her health or angry that he was still making her do things she didn't want to do she tried to calm herself down before she replied, " What, how...."

Enough talking. David didn't even let her complete her statement before he suddenly cut her off as he continued. " I think you should get some rest now you must be tired anyways"

After hearing David's words I was still angry but I slowly stood up on went to the room he pointed, I angrily closed the door and prepared to take a shower in the bathroom, I turned on the hot water in the bathtub and went inside as I tried to relax myself.

After taking a shower I came out of the bathroom and notice that David wasn't there yet I breathed a sigh of relief and quickly went to the bed to sleep.

Seconds turned to minutes and minutes turned to more minutes and yet I still couldn't fall asleep, because the bed had too many pillows which made it a little uncomfortable so I decided to puts the pillows to good use, I used some of the pillows to divide the bed into two equal parts, the left side was for David while the right side was for me, at least this might give me a sense of relief.

I was about to sleep before I heard the doors slightly opening I quietly close my eyes tightly knowing that it was David. I heard his footsteps coming closer to my side of the bed as he gently bent down and kissed my forehead before whispering good night.

I suddenly felt my body heat up but quickly ignored it. I stiffened and froze not wanting him to think I was still awake. I heard him standing up and entering the bathroom to take a shower, I kept thinking about the kiss he gave me and it felt oddly familiar, I quickly brushed the thought away and was about to sleep when I suddenly heard the bathroom door slowly opening.

I slowly peeked through my eye lids and was shocked when I saw him half naked only having a towel wrapped around his lower body. I quickly shut my eyes not wanting to see anything before I heard him walking around the room while putting on his clothes as he slowly laid on the bed, I stiffened and held my breath in anticipation of what was going to happen and to my surprise I heard him say.

" I know you are still awake so stop pretending, do you really think a few pillows will save you from me." I kept quiet not saying anything hoping he would soon go to sleep.

Fortunately for me his breathing slowly relaxed and he soon feel asleep, I finally relaxed and also fell into a deep slumber hoping everything would go all right tomorrow.....
