Wu'ke tried his hardest to mimic what his seniors were doing, as his life depended on it.
However, what he pulled off was nowhere close to what his teammates had achieved. He even wondered if his teammates had died for real; this caused shock to replace his fear. 'Why did these knights even learn to play dead?! At what point will it be useful? What does this all mean?!'
[1] … and then I’ll still die, because I’m also a perpetual noob in first-person shooters. Or shooters in general… Fine, I’m piss-poor at video games in general. I’ve mentioned I’m the type of “““gamer””” who genuinely loves gaming but genuinely sucks at almost every single one of it, even the games I REALLY love like Fire Emblem, right? The type who is happy for any achievement AT ALL, including “Good Listener: listened to the NPC’s explanation during the tutorial without skipping”, yea? Yea. I can’t even rage quit a game out of indignance, because you have to first at least be GOOD at a game before earning the pride and right to quit a game out of anger.
