Aldhelm sounded like a powerful, heavenly relic used by a god, but in reality, it was not a Divine Regalia, neither was it the lost possession of a hero. It was actually a weapon that was mass-produced, like the 'Switch Blades' or the 'Lances of Claw', despite sounding more mouthful and dramatic than "swords" and "lances".
This was why no weapon or history experts worth a dime would ever make such a ridiculous distinction as "the real Aldhelm" and "counterfeit Aldhelms". If a staff bore a pointy tip fashioned from a large Cobalt Crystal, a body made from the alloy, Agarthium Steel, which is known for its high endurance, and possessed a sort of functionality-swapping gimmick that allowed the staff to change into something akin to a nunchaku or a flail, then it would automatically be classified as an Aldhelm.

KafkaOfTheRubbles After several hundred hours on Fire Emblem Three Houses (230++ hours to be exact. Not even was grinding, yet I’ve only finished Verdant Wind//GD route AND Azure Moon//BL route. Crimson Flower? Silver Snow? Haven’t even started that!), I found myself accidentally calling Baiyi as Byleth several times and actually relied on spellcheck to get them right (Apparently, Microsoft Word does not recognize the word Byleth; Guess Microsoft isn’t satanic enough to introduce every single demon lord to their applications, huh? /winks).
Now, I don’t know if I’ve ever mentioned this, but I have such a robust and vivid imagination that I “see” rather than “read” fictions (sometimes even non-fiction), and I kid you not, even though Baiyi’s a goddamned set of armor with “an ugly yellow scarf draping over his face”, I kept seeing him as Bylad/Male Byleth. I mean, they are both highly-respected professors! Though a lot of the students are mostly as NPC as, well, NPCs (most of them have even less personality than Gatekeeper-kun himself), Baiyi’s Angels and the Voidwalkers were more like playable characters, aren’t they? I would not buy THIS game if MIA is the Lord character, but I do think the rest of the cast, like Vidomina and Tisdale, could make for pretty good playable side-characters. I would love to beat the crap out of Mordred, too, and especially since she’s a dragon and you know you GOTTA’ fight a dragon to make the game worthy of being called Fire Emblem. Ohhhh, I will so love to snap her head off her neck and hang it by the gates of Enbarr! Hahahahhaha… No. Too excessive.
