In order to make Di Fuyi surrender his power, perhaps there was a lot more that needed to be done. It surely was not as simple as creating a trap for him to fall in love.

Gu Xijiu could not help but look at Di Fuyi confusedly. Her heart was filled with a myriad of feelings. The man was the master of heavenly law. No one would have known that the man would eventually fall for someone like her. Yet, he loved her so much that he was willing to compromise on so many of his principles.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" Di Fuyi noticed her odd gaze. He gently tapped on her head and asked, "Are you so obsessed with me?" He looked at her pridefully, for he was proud of his qualities as her perfect partner.

Gu Xijiu made a sibilant sound as a sign of disapproval. "Don't you feel embarrassed? You are feeling way too good about yourself."

Di Fuyi laughed out loud and replied, "I truly am a good man. Why should I underestimate my own qualities?"
