Perhaps it was a practical joke on behalf of fate that this group of people immediately started towards the queue Shi Mu was at, brushing past his spot until they stopped at the second individual standing in front of Shi Mu—a muscular red-haired Demon race meatball-looking guy.
The man's face lit up almost the instant he saw them and chatted quietly with them. It was obvious that these people knew each other.
However, they were still essentially cutting lines and those who had been joining the queue much earlier than they were made it their disdain obvious. Despite their displeasure, no one peeked a word against them—perhaps the red-haired girl's power ranking or the group's presumed fame and status was the reason.
Everyone kept quiet except for one. "Jerks," Cai peeped under its breath.
TL’s THOUGHTS:
Why are they always so over-the-top in the art of bullying? It’s like they are ripped straight out from the most stereotypical teen movie, haha. The only thing they are missing now is the football jacket, some bimbos around them, calling the person’s name in that smug voice (“Hey Shee Miu!”), and then giving Shi Mu a wedgie. Haha, poor NPCs courting death/embarrassment/ill fate by being mean to the MC… /winks
