Chapitre 3: The Prime Division (2)
'CCC, Cynosure, Consonance, The Commonwealth. Three of the seven continents that make up this world. To think that The Prime Division is actually part of the CCC Military Coalition!' Aeltern thought. He got even more excited. All he knew was that The Prime Division was an international force of Cynosure. Never did he realize that it had an influence on the CCC Military Coalition as well. Beside him, Elle was shaking in excitement. 'This is turning out to be better than I thought!' she exclaimed in her mind.
Without any second thoughts, the two quickly undressed to their undergarments, then changed to their new uniforms. The baron was quick; he immediately burned the clothes, then he put the ashes in his bin already filled with ashes from his cigarettes.
"Permission," the baron spoke.
"Granted," Aria said.
The baron then opened his eyes wide and channeled his Arcane. A Pentagram appeared behind him. There were covers on four of its corners and the five intersections of the pentagram. A single corner was glowing with the image of his Arcane.
"Duplication!" he chanted.
A giant Runic Circle appeared on the floor, and from it rose three perfect clones of the three. Aria then released her nightingale once more, which tentatively got smaller to fit the room.
"You know what to do, Alkel," Aria spoke.
"Yes, Slayer Aria," the baron politely responded.
The Teleportation array then activated, transporting the three away. After they left, the clones changed their clothes to the exact copy of those that were burnt moments ago. This was done to clean out all the traces of the exchange. They then sat and wandered around the office before getting out and flying away with the nightingale.
...
In a dark room somewhere, a teleportation array lit up. Three individuals manifested, prompting the lady sitting behind a wooden desk to turn on the lights.
"Gulp," Aeltern and Elle could not help but swallow their saliva after seeing the room. There were faces pinned all over the walls and headless bodies lying around. 'Well, this is fancy,' Aeltern thought as he looked around. He found that the room had no openings. It was a closed quarter with only the teleportation array as the source of entry and exit.
"Hello, Valentine," Aria greeted with a smile.
"It had been a while, Aria," She said with a bright smile that inevitably sent shivers down the spines of the trainees. Her originally small mouth widened to her ear, causing some parts of her face to tear open, but only darkness could be seen inside. Her doll-like eyes stared at the two, causing them to tense up even further.
"You never change," Aria said with a gentle smile.
"I do! I change every day! You insensitive b*tch!" Valentine cursed while her originally black and empty eyes turned red. It is evident that Aria poked a soar spot.
"Now, now. I am in an official business," Aria said with a defeated smile.
"Tsk. What do you want?" Valentine said while shifting her gaze toward the two.
'Calm down, that is a person. A gentle, warm, and loving person,' Elle comforted herself.
"They need an overall change. Grab me one as well," Aria said.
"Tsk! Would it kill you to call once in a while!? Telling me jobs like this on the spot! Agh!" The doll image of Valentine roared in anger, causing the two trainees to step back a little.
"Why? Did you get rusty? Calm down as well; you are scaring the kids," Aria calmly said.
"B*tch!" evidently, the two of them do not get along. Valentine then stood up from her seat and walked to the two trainees. It showed that her limbs were only attached by threads, and she really does look like a doll. Albeit one that still resembles a human, further increasing its creepiness.
'Brazen yourself, Aeltern,' Aeltern thought as Valentine approached him. He then felt a cold feeling on his face as Valentine caressed it with her doll hands. The feeling spread through his body as he was hugged by Valentine. He dared not breathe due to fear.
She then proceeded to do the same to Elle. The latter stared at Aeltern as if seeking help, to which Aeltern responded with a defeated smile. Elle wanted to cry, but she toughened herself.
Valentine tried to do the same to Aria, but she was met with a killing gaze from the latter. Aria was normally gentle and sweet, but after releasing her killing intent, the two trainees almost fell to their knees.
"Tsk. You're no fun!" Valentine said.
"So, do you have any queries? I can answer your questions regarding anything I can say while Valentine is doing our disguises," Aria said to the two trainees.
"I do. I and I assume Aeltern as well is trying to awaken our first Arcane. Do you have any tips?" Elle inquired.
"That is a good question. What you must remember is to know the theme of the Arcane you are trying to awaken. It would be better if you know what it is. Granted, we can only guess, but if you know yourself well enough, you can make a reasonable guess. After you do so, immerse yourself in an environment filled with the theme of your Arcane. For instance, it is evident that my Arcane is related to sound, so I will immerse myself in a musical environment to create a perfect environment. This advice is assuming that you already have the necessary amount of Arcane Force reached its ceiling. You also want to get as high a grade of an Awakening Stone as possible. This will help stimulate your potential, therefore yielding much better results," Aria said.
The two of them could not help but nod in agreement. "Thank you, miss Aria," They both answered.
After about an hour had passed in their discussion, Valentine finished all three of their disguises.
"Wear these," she said while handing over the disguises that looked precisely like skin. "Do not resist my Arcane," she said.
A Pentagram appeared behind him. Just like the baron, only one was revealed, while the others were hidden. Unlike the baron, what was shown was an ability in one of the intersections of the Pentagram or one of the corners of the pentagon in the center of the pentagram.
"Disguise!" a large magic circle then appeared below the three of them. Blinding light covered the entire room after Valentine's chant.
"You look great," Valentine said with a wide smile.
