Chapitre 37: Chapter 37

Tsunade's mind drifted back to her childhood. She remembered a young man who had always been present in Konoha. Even her revered grandfather, the First Hokage, showed him great respect. Later, she learned that the man was none other than her grandfather's teacher—Uzumaki Chito.

When the "God of the Ninja World" grew old and eventually passed away, Tsunade had been inconsolable, crying for days. It was Uzumaki Chito who comforted her, taking care of her as she navigated her grief.

Then came the destruction of the Land of Whirlpools. Rumors swirled—some said Uzumaki Chito had perished, just like her grandfather. Others believed he had fallen into a deep, unending sleep.

Now, as he stood before her once again, those memories flooded back. Tsunade unconsciously moved closer, her eyes wide with disbelief. As she approached, the familiar sight of him erased any doubt. Tears began to flow freely down her face, much to her frustration.

Damn it. Why am I crying? she thought, angrily wiping at her cheeks. I should be happy that he's finally back.

"I'm back, Tsunade," Uzumaki Chito said with a faint smile. "Why aren't you happy?"

Tsunade's lip trembled, but she refused to admit her emotions. "I'm not crying! It's just… it's windy, and sand got in my eyes!" she retorted, turning her face away with an unusual hint of shyness.

Suddenly, Tsunade channeled chakra into her fist and struck out at Uzumaki Chito. The chakra erupted with incredible force, but Chito merely smiled indulgently. With a graceful motion, he dissipated her attack with his right hand as if brushing away a breeze. His left hand gently restrained her shoulder.

"Tsunade," he said softly, "don't forget—I taught you how to fight."

Tsunade's body relaxed, and her voice trembled with emotion as she whispered, "Welcome back." Her chakra shifted, and in an instant, she reverted to the appearance of her ten-year-old self, rushing into Uzumaki Chito's arms like a child seeking comfort.

Chito sighed helplessly, a warm smile on his face. What else can I do with this girl? he thought. Of course, I'll pamper her.

Orochimaru stood to the side, his pale face unreadable. Inwardly, though, he was in turmoil. Is this really Tsunade? The legendary Princess of Konoha?

The sight of her acting shy and childlike around Uzumaki Chito was almost too much for him to process. Am I crazy? Or is Uzumaki Chito simply that incredible?

Meanwhile, Guy, Neji, and the others were less surprised. To them, Tsunade's reaction made perfect sense. After all, it's Uzumaki Chito-sama. With him, even the most extraordinary things seem reasonable.

Naruto, still recovering from his earlier fight, stumbled over to Tsunade, glaring at her. "Grandpa," he muttered, addressing Uzumaki Chito as he stood beside him.

Uzumaki Chito looked at Naruto, letting out a relieved sigh. His protective measures had shielded Naruto from serious harm, though the boy looked slightly battered. "Naruto, why were you fighting Tsunade? And Tsunade," Chito added with a frown, "you hurt him too much."

"He called me an old witch!" Tsunade snapped, her eyes narrowing. "Do you know how insulting that is? If he weren't Minato's son, he wouldn't be standing here!"

Chito rubbed his temples, feeling the beginnings of a headache. "Little Tsunade," he said gently, "you're an elder. Don't let yourself get so angry with children."

"I wasn't angry!" Tsunade protested, burying her face against Chito's chest to hide her flustered expression.

Chito sighed again, already resigned to the situation. Tsunade may have grown up, but in moments like this, she's still the same little girl I raised.

Realizing the others were watching, Tsunade quickly regained her composure, stepping away from Chito. But her gaze turned suspicious as she looked at him. "Why did Minato's son leave Konoha Village?" she asked pointedly. "You've been with him, so you must know. Or is this… your doing?"

Chito met her gaze calmly. "Yes, it was my decision. But Tsunade, let me ask you—why did you leave Konoha?"

"I..." Tsunade hesitated, her words faltering. Memories of her disillusionment with the village resurfaced. She had left because Konoha no longer felt like home, and she had been disappointed in its leadership.

Her silence spoke volumes. Chito nodded knowingly. "Exactly. Konoha has been in decline, and the Third Hokage bears much of the blame."

Before the conversation could continue, Chito turned his attention to Orochimaru. "Enough reminiscing. Orochimaru, do you want to make a deal?"

Orochimaru's smile widened, but his mind raced. What could I possibly offer him?

"Uzumaki Chito-sama," he began carefully, "I doubt there's anything I possess that you need."

"You've been working with Danzo for a long time," Chito said flatly, cutting through Orochimaru's pretense.

"I..."

"I don't care about your past actions," Chito interrupted. "I'm only here to ask: are you interested in studying the Byakugan?"
