Chapitre 115: CHAPTER 115: Delicate Decisions

　　The car came to a stop in front of Julia's house, the familiar sight a bittersweet pang in my heart. Pulling away from Alexander's comforting embrace, I felt a wave of apprehension wash over me. The minute I stepped out of this car, our little bubble would burst and I'd be back to thinking about my problems.

　　He turned to me, his gaze searching mine. "So," he began, his voice laced with a hesitancy that mirrored my own, "are you really coming back?"

　　The question pierced me, the raw distrust in his eyes a fresh wound. Did he think I would choose to leave again, after everything we'd just shared? The pain of that misunderstanding brought a fresh sting to my eyes.

　　"Alexander," I said, my voice trembling slightly, "where else would I go?"
