Chapitre 10: Chapter 10: The Beginner Magic User!

Eric waved his wrist casually and released the Water Sphere Technique. The water sphere, powered by tremendous momentum, shot across the room. Just before hitting the wall, it exploded mid-air!

With a soft "boom." the water sphere erupted into countless sparkling droplets, falling like tiny jewels, shining brightly as they descended.

This move was full of understanding and precise control over the Water Sphere Technique!

Everyone in the room was once again taken aback, except for Maurice, who remained calm throughout. He adjusted his glasses, thinking, No Chant, and the Magic release is impressive. But after all, it's just a simple Water Sphere Technique.

However, he quickly reconsidered, If he can execute a Water Sphere Technique with such precision, what about his other Magic? Maurice's curiosity about Eric grew.

Orlando snapped out of his shock. "Next Magic!"

His eyes now reflected a greater sense of anticipation.

"Water Shield." With a command, a sparkling, light-blue Water-based Element shield enveloped Eric completely.

Once again, it was without Chant, effortless, and just as flawless as the previous technique. There was no sense of unfamiliarity at all!

Orlando nodded quietly in approval. The group of young boys and girls, who had been watching, now fully understood. This was a genius.

No wonder he had remained so calm earlier. Turns out, he really did have the skills!

For a moment, everyone looked at Eric with a mix of envy and admiration. Some of the girls even began to flirt subtly. This was the kind of treatment only a true genius got!

Meanwhile, Lilith stood frozen, staring at the scene in disbelief. Her entire body seemed paralyzed, but her hands still held the phone, recording everything.

Why is this happening? How could Eric, that waste of space, have such talent for Magic… Lilith's emotions churned violently inside her.

Maurice spoke up, his voice calm but firm: "One last Magic, let me see it, young man."

Orlando, slightly surprised, realized that Master Maurice had actually spoken before him.

Maurice's eyes were fixed on Eric with intensity. Although his expression remained neutral, it was clear from his reaction that Eric had captured his interest.

Eric withdrew the Water Shield, preparing for his third Magic—the final C-rank Magic!

The young men and women around him tensed up. So many people falter at this final step. The difference in difficulty between C-rank and D-rank Magic was vast!

"He's been so impressive so far. What will his third Magic be like?"

"Could it be just as impressive? By watching others cast Magic, I can learn a thing or two myself…"

"Not necessarily. The more difficult the Magic, the higher the chance of failure. Who knows, maybe this guy, Eric, will fail this time!"

The crowd buzzed with discussions.

Lilith, too, forced herself to snap out of her daze.

"Right, there's still the final step, the C-rank Magic!" Lilith, being quite knowledgeable in this area, had seen many others fail before.

This guy managed to cast two D-rank Magics smoothly, but there's nothing surprising about that. Maybe it's just a matter of building up experience, or maybe he's just lucky… Lilith began to reassure herself.

But there's no way he can cast the final C-rank Magic! No chance! Lilith's resolve grew stronger.

In fact, Lilith had already mastered two D-rank Magics herself. The reason she hadn't advanced to a Low-level Magic user yet was because of the difficulty of the C-rank Magic!

She had been practicing for two months without success.

"Eric, your little trick is about to end!" Lilith steadied her phone and aimed it at Eric, taking a deep breath.

"He will definitely fail!" she muttered under her breath.

As for Eric, he was initially a bit concerned about the C-rank Magic, but at this moment, he seemed remarkably calm and composed.

The reason was simple: just after he cast the Water Shield, another notification had sounded in his mind.

His progress had increased again!

[Skill: Magic user (Beginner)]

[Progress: 10/500]

[Description: Just starting out, a rookie Magic user.]

[Effect: Increased magical power, deeper comprehension, faster learning of new Magics.]

He had reached the entry level!

Eric could clearly see from the status bar that he had moved into the next stage.

The biggest difference at this stage was the addition of a new status bar titled 'Effect,' which contained multiple attributes.

At that moment, Eric felt a flood of new knowledge about Magic fill his mind. He felt his thoughts becoming much sharper, and even his intelligence seemed to have increased!

The progress bar wasn't just enhancing his Magic ability. It was also subtly improving his body!

At this moment, even if I cast the same Magic as before, it feels completely different… how amazing! Eric's eyes gleamed with excitement as he felt a surge of energy.

As for casting Ripples of Water, Eric felt a surge of confidence, making it seem effortless.

"Ripples of Water!" Eric whispered.

As the words left his lips, he closed his eyes and subtly guided his fingers. The Magic Element in the surrounding air began to flow, ready for him to command with ease.

His fingers moved with intricate precision, tracing patterns in the air, while a visible blue light rapidly concentrated around him.

Maurice's eyes widened subtly, observing every one of Eric's movements. He couldn't help but nod in approval, thinking, I didn't expect him to be so proficient with this Magic.

Then, a thought crossed his mind: Though the chances are extremely slim, could this be another case of no Chant?

The difficulty between D-rank and C-rank Magic was on entirely different levels, and achieving a Chantless cast at this stage would be much harder!

Maurice knew better than to expect too much. If Eric truly had the ability to cast a C-rank Magic without Chanting, he wouldn't be here at all. He'd already be a Low-level Magic user.

But for some reason, he couldn't shake off the feeling of anticipation.

Meanwhile, the group of boys and girls behind him were holding their breath, unable to discern the finer details of what was happening. They were simply there to watch.

Lilith, however, was biting her lip, desperately hoping for Eric's failure.

But in the end, in less than a breath, as Eric opened his eyes, Ripples of Water was released flawlessly!

A pure, concentrated burst of Magic energy exploded from Eric's body, and countless streams of water spiraled out.

At the center of Eric's body, a massive whirlpool of water formed, unleashing violent energy, as the currents surged outward in all directions!

"It's done!" Orlando's eyes widened in astonishment.

Maurice's reaction was equally strong. The moment the Ripples of Water appeared, he was almost ecstatic.

"Another instant cast! Just as smooth, just as proficient, and once again, no Chant!" he nodded in satisfaction.

This young man was undoubtedly a genius. It had been a long time since the Magic Guild had seen such a promising talent.

Surrounded by the crashing waves of water, Eric stood like a god of water, exuding an undeniable charm. At that moment, the group of young girls nearby were completely mesmerized, gazing at him with starry eyes.

Lilith slowly lowered her phone, her heart racing in her chest. She stood there, utterly stunned, unable to process what she had just witnessed.

She silently turned off the recording, and her phone continued to vibrate incessantly as the notifications flooded in.

Kevin: "Hey Lilith, what was that fun thing you were talking about?"

Feeling deeply frustrated, Lilith's face darkened. Her slender fingers moved quickly across the screen, typing a cold reply: "Go away, there's nothing."

With that, she turned off her phone, lifted her head, and saw Eric still standing on the stage as Maurice was about to announce the results of his assessment.

"Test passed. From now on, you are officially registered as a member of the Magic Guild, and I am granting you the Low-level Magic user badge." Maurice's voice was aged but dignified, with a touch of admiration.

He patted Eric on the shoulder. "Eric, you're a promising young talent. The Magic Guild welcomes you, and Knight Orlando will explain everything else to you."

Eric nodded vigorously. "Thank you, Master."

Maurice smiled. "No need to call me Master, just call me Grandpa Maurice. And whenever you need anything from the Magic user guild, feel free to come by. I'll be glad to assist you."

He then turned to the side and instructed, "Orlando, take him down."

Orlando nodded. "Got it." He gestured for Eric to follow him.

At that moment, Eric noticed that Orlando appeared to be wearing a thin layer of armor under his clothes. Maurice had referred to him as Knight, so it seemed that Orlando was a Physical Cultivation Practitioner.
