Chapitre 2: Getting to work 2

After acquiring Tony Stark's intelligence, I opened my laptop and began coding to hack into the bank accounts of some of the wealthiest people in this world. I only took small amounts, like $50 or $100, from their accounts. Taking millions would raise immediate alarms, and by the next morning, they'd contact the police—or worse, the Justice League—and I don't want that kind of attention right now.

I was also careful not to steal from Batman, Lex Luthor, or any other major characters I knew. Those people are far too smart to miss even small amounts disappearing from their accounts—especially Lex, the bald-headed bastard, who's one of the smartest people alive. I have to tread carefully when dealing with him and Batman.

After finishing the coding, I started creating offshore bank accounts to have a secure safety net for my funds.

I set the limit to $10 million—it's enough for the things I plan to do and buy. Taking more money would raise questions about where I'm getting it from. While the code worked its magic, hacking into people's bank accounts and transferring the money into mine, I began making plans for my next move.

From all the Batman media I've consumed in my lifetime, I know Gotham is the worst city to live in. With villains like the Joker, Bane, Ivy, and countless others, this place is practically cursed by a freaking demon. It's like a playground for chaos, and I don't want any part of it. My best course of action is to move out of the city—but where?

I have a few destinations in mind. Central City, home to The Flash, is the safest option. His rogues' gallery has a no-kill rule, making it relatively peaceful. Metropolis is another option since it's close to Gotham, but Superman's presence could be both a blessing and a potential risk.

Another pressing question is how the social points system works. Do they accumulate over the internet? Do people have to know me personally? Does it depend on whether I show my face or remain anonymous? There are so many questions, and I need to figure out the answers fast.

Suddenly, an idea came to mind. I started typing two short stories—one where I hid my real name and another where I revealed it. I wasn't worried about my identity being exposed since it was just a story. After finishing, I posted them on a popular novel website.

To speed things up, I hacked into the website and began recommending the stories to everyone on the platform. After a few hours, I reached a conclusion about how to earn social points quickly. For every 100 people who read my story, I earned 5 SP. It didn't matter if I revealed my identity or stayed anonymous—the SP earned was the same.

"Status," I said aloud, and a blue frame appeared in front of me, displaying my current social points

[Social points:1220]

Now, I could pull two diamond tickets. I stared at the screen for a few seconds before clicking the [YES] button.

[Reward: The Superior Spider-Man (a.k.a. Otto Octavius)]

"Yes!" I exclaimed. This was a fantastic pull. Now, I have Otto's cloning technology, unparalleled intellect, and combat skills. On top of that, I've also gained Spider-Man's enhanced strength and spider-sense. With all this, I don't have to worry about dying so easily—at least not permanently.

"Should I do one more? Will my luck strike twice?" I hesitated for a few seconds, debating whether to take the risk. But the allure of the gacha was too strong, and I clicked the [YES] button again.

Honestly, I was so surprised by what I saw that I stopped breathing for a few seconds.
