"She's not here to fight with you," said Xavier. 

Selene became concerned when Xavier only mentioned that she didn't want to fight. It left the thought that he might want to fight.

"I am not going to discuss my wife with you or any other man," Gabriel said, needing Xavier out of the way. "I mean no trouble with you but you are getting involved in my marriage."

"Our marriage is over. I want a divorce and I shall soon send the request for it. I informed you about this before I left last night," Selene said, knowing Gabriel didn't take it seriously.

Gabriel wasn't ready to let go of Selene. The plan was to let her wander the night and return to her place in the morning. "I am not ready for a divorce. We need to send Lord Blackthorn off and speak alone."
