Chapitre 33: Chapter -33 Breaking the law.

Chapter -33.

The prisoners were buzzing with excitement as they realized that this wasn't just about Lester being caught by Aurors after his escape; he had actually taken down the Aurors guarding Azkaban!

As the energy in the room built, Lester raised his hand, signaling for everyone to quiet down.

Then, something amazing happened: the lively chatter among the prisoners faded away as they noticed Lester's gesture.

All eyes turned to him, eager and expectant, as he stood confidently in the center of the prison.

Just the first few words of Lester's speech had already sparked a fire in their hearts!

With hundreds of hopeful faces looking at him, Lester steadied himself and asked, "Are we really prisoners? Are we truly criminals?"

"What about those wealthy nobles who take pleasure in harming others? Have they ever faced justice from the Ministry of Magic?"

"And what about us, the Muggle-born wizards? We're pushed aside by pure-bloods, struggling to find decent jobs in the magical world, and forced into illegal activities. Are we really bad people by nature?!"

Lester's words hit hard, resonating deeply with each prisoner.

Who is born a bad person, after all? Aren't they all shaped by the crumbling Wizarding world around them?

Did they not realize that becoming a dark wizard is like signing their own death warrant?

Didn't they dream of finding good jobs after graduating from Hogwarts?

Is there anyone who truly enjoys living a life filled with uncertainty, where danger lurks at every corner?

Don't they envy those wizarding families who seem to live happily?

They wanted that life too, but reality just wouldn't let them have it!

Slowly, the dark wizard prisoners fell silent, their expressions shifting with every word Lester spoke.

Over the years, who has really cared about them, the Muggle-born wizards or the fallen pure-bloods?

Who understands the outrageous confidentiality decree from the Ministry of Magic?

They can't use magic in the Muggle world, yet they're denied jobs in the magical realm.

Isn't the Ministry of Magic pushing Muggle-born wizards into a corner?

Don't be fooled by the fact that these prisoners are now seen as ruthless dark wizards; the moment they left Hogwarts, they were filled with hope and dreams for the Wizarding world.

But what did they face? The moment they stepped out of Hogwarts, the Ministry of Magic offered them two choices.

One was to stay in the magical world and serve pure-blood wizards, taking on roles like waiters or train vendors.

Or, if they excelled in school, they could only serve as dark wizard henchmen, at the beck and call of pure-bloods.

What does that mean? After seven years of hard work learning magic at Hogwarts, their job is to be a servant!

It's as absurd as a college graduate who speaks eight languages being forced to work as a server in a small hotel.

The second choice is even more ridiculous; they're told to give up magic and return to the Muggle world.

What a laugh! They spent seven years of their lives, only to be warned by the Ministry of Magic that they can't use magic in the Muggle world.

What do they have besides magic?

Let's not forget, before entering the magical world, they only had a primary school education in the Muggle society.

What kind of jobs can someone with just a primary school education find in the Muggle world? Aren't they mostly in menial positions? And they can't even use magic!

So, this group of capable Muggleborn wizards wasn't going to let the Ministry of Magic control them.

.....

In that moment, including Carson and the two others with Lester, all the Muggle-born wizards in the prison fell into deep thought.

Even though Lester didn't get an enthusiastic response this time, he knew that these oppressed Muggle wizards were truly listening to him.

Inside the cell, Scarface sadly covered his scarred face, remembering how he was brutally beaten by pure-bloods when he first entered society.

He felt a deep hatred for those ruling pure-bloods; he despised this decaying Wizarding world!

Who would have thought that Scarface's initial dream was to become a renowned potions master, not a fraudster making inferior potions from trash materials?

At the same time, Lester's words were also hitting home for Arlis, who felt like a pile of mud.

If anyone in the prison had suffered the most from the oppression of pure-blood aristocrats, it was Arlis, and he felt the urge to stand up and speak out.

Arlis had shown incredible magical talent since his time at Hogwarts, mastering dark magic with little guidance and using it impressively.

But so what? After graduation, those less talented pure-bloods relied on their family resources to learn advanced dark magic, while he was left stagnant.

Unwilling to accept this, he became a thug for the Venus family.

As a Muggle wizard, even though he was powerful, the Venus family never truly valued him.

He was just a pawn for the Venus family, burdened with all the dirty work and hard labor.

For instance, he was sent into Azkaban to take out Lester, a task that could have easily been handled by the guards, but they insisted on sending him in to do it.

What was the point? Wasn't it just to have a record of being imprisoned in Azkaban on his resume, making it easier for them to control him?!

As for Carson, he had even more to say; he had faced more injustices at the hands of pure-blood aristocrats than anyone else!

At this moment, the painful experiences of Scarface and the others were not just individual stories but a shared reality among the prisoners in Azkaban.

After all, who ends up in Azkaban without a story to tell?

Of course, there were some real scoundrels among them, like Lester's sleazy class representative.

"Why does everyone look so serious?"

The sleazy old man felt the heavy atmosphere in the prison, making it hard for him to breathe.

Having grown up during a time when dark wizards ran rampant, he couldn't relate to the struggles this group of young wizards faced.

But the other prisoners were different; if they had previously seen Lester as just a ruthless and powerful young punk,

After hearing his speech, they felt that in the entire Wizarding world, only Lester truly understood them!

And only Lester, who also came from a Muggle background, would pay attention to the various injustices faced by Muggle-born wizards in the magical world!
