By early morning, it was as if she had become a different person.
The domineering Hokage was back again.
When Kakashi and the others entered the tent to ask Tsunade whether to take action, Tsunade waved her hand decisively.
She heavily slapped the battle map in front of her.
"All Konoha shinobi, attack! Follow the previously designated plan and destroy Danzo's camp as quickly as possible!"
"The Land of Fire only needs one Konoha, there's no need for a Hidden Flame Village!"
Hearing Tsunade's domineering statement, although it wasn't exactly a new command,
the elite jonin of Konoha suddenly felt a surge of confidence this is the influence of a Hokage.
Even if it was just giving orders, the tone and demeanor alone had a huge impact on the ninja.
Even a mere shift in momentum could unleash a completely different combat effectiveness in ninjas.
"Yes!"
A unified response echoed.
Kakashi and others set out fully. For this battle, they aimed to end the unnecessary civil war as quickly as possible with minimal casualties.
Doing everything possible to reduce Konoha's losses,
so that Konoha could recover its strength at the fastest pace after the war.
Thus, their initial moves were swift and overwhelming,
while the countdown pressure of the battle indeed caused many ninjas under Danzo's command to defect.
And this battlefield defection had a huge impact.
Danzo's situation, which wasn't good to begin with, turned into complete chaos due to these ninja forces.
In Hidden Flame Village, Danzo's expression was terribly grim.
Konoha's ninja forces, despite being vastly outnumbered, had taken the initiative to attack.
Moreover, led by Konoha's elite jonin, they swept through the battlefield like a storm.
His defensive line was as fragile as paper, crumbling at the slightest touch.
Some ninjas even surrendered outright without any resistance.
It was as if they were just waiting for Konoha's ninjas to come and take over their positions.
At that moment, Danzo truly understood that his seemingly grand momentum was utterly feeble.
"These Konoha ninjas are all trash, all turned into trash by Hiruzen's pampering!"
"Damn Tsunade… this woman… A woman becoming Hokage, and these idiots actually accepted it!"
"How could a woman lead Konoha?"
After venting his anger, a ruthless gleam flashed in Danzo's eyes.
"Fine! Tsunade, mark my words, I won't let you have it easy!"
Danzo turned to his subordinates, "Have all the elites been assembled?"
"Yes, Lord Danzo!"
"But under these circumstances, concentrating the elites will make the situation on other battlefronts even worse, the time it takes for them to break through will…"
Danzo sneered, "They'll break through sooner or later anyway. Hidden Flame Village can't hold on anymore, but I won't let it end like this!"
"All of Konoha's elite jonin have shown up, but Tsunade herself hasn't appeared. She must still be at the camp!"
"Send all five hundred elites; do whatever it takes to assassinate Tsunade!"
"Without Tsunade, these people will scatter like loose sand. This is my last chance!"
If he failed, he would have to go underground like a rat again,
and then secretly try to regain power, but overthrowing Tsunade's Konoha that way would be far too difficult.
Besides, Danzo didn't want to wait another ten years!
"Move out!"
Konoha's camp.
Tsunade kept receiving intelligence reports from the frontlines.
One good news after another came, making her increasingly elated.
With Sasuke around, she didn't seem as terrified of war anymore.
These good news reports had put Tsunade in an incredibly cheerful mood.
Meanwhile, in the tent, Sasuke, who was training his Sharingan, helplessly shook his head.
This woman's moods change every day. Women truly are fickle creatures.
He closed his eyes and resumed training his Sharingan.
The sounds of the distant battlefield grew fainter and fainter.
This meant that Danzo's defeat was accelerating.
It seemed as though he couldn't even hold out for a day. Despite commanding 30,000 ninja troops, he had suffered such a crushing defeat.
Even Sasuke felt a little sorry for him.
What a miserable fate.
However, a large part of this was because his opponents were Konoha's ninjas to begin with.
Otherwise, he wouldn't have lost so quickly.
Even if it were 30,000 buns, it would take Tsunade and her team a few days to finish them off.
The sun slowly set behind the mountains,
dyeing half of the sky in golden hues.
Yet, amidst the golden glow, there was a hidden trace of crimson blood.
Even in such a devastating defeat, wars still involved bloodshed and sacrifices.
And it was Konoha ninjas' blood that was being spilled.
War is war.
There weren't many Konoha ninjas left at the camp, probably only about a hundred. Most had been sent to fight.
But there wasn't much need for defense now offense was the best defense.
What Tsunade hadn't anticipated was Danzo's desperate gamble.
"En… e…enemy attack…"
Bang, bang, bang!
Amid the crisp sounds of collisions, a group of ninjas dressed in Root uniforms suddenly appeared around the camp.
In almost no time, the dozens of Konoha guards protecting the camp were all neutralized.
The air was thick with blood.
Smelling the blood in the air, Tsunade froze.
Suddenly, at the entrance of the tent, a wounded Konoha ninja crawled in.
"Lord Hokage… enemy… enemy… surprise attack…"
With that, he fainted.
Tsunade looked at the blood on his body and listened to the sounds of battle outside.
The fear of war washed over her again.
Tsunade felt as if her body couldn't move, her entire being seemingly frozen in place.
"Lady Tsunade! Please… go quickly! I'll hold them off!"
Shizune, understanding Tsunade's state, prepared to hold back the enemies so Tsunade could escape.
However, Tsunade couldn't move at all in her current state.
Sasuke walked out from the back, looking at Tsunade, who was trembling slightly in the tent.
Coming to her side, Sasuke raised his hand and patted her shoulder.
Startled, Tsunade turned to look at Sasuke in a panic.
Tears rolled down the corners of her eyes. Though she wasn't crying, her tears wouldn't stop flowing.
"Don't worry! Leave it to me!"
"It'll be over soon. No one can hurt you!"
Tsunade stared blankly at Sasuke.
Wearing his mask, Sasuke walked to the entrance of the tent. He lifted the curtain and glanced outside.
Less than ten Konoha ninjas were left guarding the tent, holding their ground as the enemy advanced.
Opposite them was a dense formation of Root ninjas.
Each Root ninja seemed quite formidable.
'Elites, huh?'
'Danzo is making a desperate bet, and he really managed to play it right!'
'But now that I'm here, it's different. It's time to warm up before facing Danzo!'
