Although Istaru has not been with her master for long, she already has a very clear understanding of his character and thoughts. He never does anything without purpose; everything he does is organized and deliberate, except for those moments when he indulges in whims to make himself happy.
The arrival of more than a million little girls who cannot care for themselves presented a challenge. Neither Fanes nor she, along with Ashund, could take care of them. It wasn't likely that Takumi would summon nannies from across the realms to his 'dwelling' on Sky Island either. The most probable scenario was that he would summon the Great Dendro Archon, the one who controls the World Tree, to Sky Island.
The 'Void Terminal' was akin to a supercomputer in a technologically advanced world, while the Great Dendro Archon was like the AI. The memory of the Teyvat Universe was maintained in perfect order by the Great Dendro Archon, so taking care of a mere million children would be no challenge for her.
Fanes touched his own cheek and frowned slightly. "The Great Dendro Archon... The Teyvat Universe has become so powerful now, and naturally, the World Tree has grown in power accordingly. If I were still ruling as Celestial Law, I would never let the full authority over the World Tree rest with just one person. It would have been distributed into dozens of parts, and a different Archon would be born from each one, overseeing their respective domains."
He continued, his voice authoritative and contemplative. "The rules of each Archon would have never exceeded thirty percent of total power. Even if a problem emerged with maintaining the World Tree, cutting away the problematic Archon and replacing them with a new one wouldn't harm the overall World Tree.
Takumi's mouth twitched as he listened to Fanes' words. "Are you treating the Great Dendro Archon as if she were just a tree, and yourself as the gardener, pruning away any branches that are infested?" he thought.
Takumi waved a dismissive hand. "That's enough. Besides, the Great Dendro Archon only oversees the world's memory. If this was still the Plane World, that would have been quite the authority, but now that we're in the Teyvat Universe, the authority is trivial for me."
Previously, in the Plane World, the 'World Tree' comprised twenty percent of global authority. However, now, in the small universe where total authority had grown to its limit, this proportion seemed trivial. Even if the 'World Memory' was entirely disrupted, using the 'Ouroboros Ring' could restore the lost elements in an instant. The infinite possibilities were not just a joke. Now, the 'World Tree' represented less than one percent of the Teyvat Universe's total authority—it was insignificant.
In Sumeru, the Great Dendro Archon, Bu'er, felt dispirited after her return from the 'Meeting of the Gods.'
"Has Lord Takumi... forgotten me? Am I no longer important?" she wondered, feeling a pang of disappointment.
Bu'er reminisced about the early days, back when she managed to sign an eternal contract with Takumi. As the manager of the World Tree, her importance to the world of Teyvat had been significant. But as Teyvat continued to progress, Bu'er's role as the incarnation of the 'World Tree' became less vital.
Nasida, seeing the Great Dendro Archon disheartened, looked worried. "Bu'er, why have you been so down since you returned? Is it because Lord Takumi hasn't sought you out?"
Bu'er gave Nasida a slightly exasperated look. "Nasida, while you do understand many things, there are still some aspects where you need to improve—especially in emotional intelligence. If Lord Takumi has truly overlooked me, there's a good chance he's overlooked you as well, considering we're quite similar."
Suddenly, Bu'er's melancholy lifted. She felt a tremor in her heart, and her face lit up with a smile. "Lord Takumi finally needs me for something."
The voice of Takumi came to her through the 'Divine Blueprint.'
"Bu'er, come to Sky Island. I have something important I need your help with."
Bu'er replied joyfully, "Yes, my lord."
Nasida quickly grasped Bu'er's hand. "I want to come too!"
"Very well. After all, you are a part of me," Bu'er replied with a smile.
Together, Bu'er and Nasida arrived at Sky Island. As soon as they entered the 'courtyard,' Bu'er found herself stunned by the scene in front of her. Subconsciously, she rubbed her eyes and looked again, her mouth slightly agape.
She saw Takumi, the God of the Teyvat Universe, the Creator himself, playing 'Eagle and Chicks' with a group of little girls, none of whom seemed older than ten. Fanes, the former ruler, acted as the hen, shielding the chicks from the eagle—Takumi.
"Am I dreaming?" Bu'er thought. She tugged at her cheek. It hurt. She wasn't dreaming. After a moment of shock, she calmed down. Though surprising, considering Takumi's character, it was perfectly normal.
What truly amazed her was Fanes' participation—the one who had once ruled the divine law was now playing games with children.
Istaru was waving a small flag. "Come on, Master! Catch the chicks, but don't catch the old hen!"
Takumi laughed, raising his hands. "The hen must protect her chicks, but the eagle is going to catch them now!"
Fanes stood firmly, arms spread wide, shielding the little girls behind him. "No chick will be caught by this eagle!"
Lan Yuan Yanzhu, who clung to Fanes' robe, peeked out, her bright eyes sparkling. "That's right! I won't let Lord Celestial Law catch me."
Tina, another girl, peeked out as well, her eyes drooping sleepily. "Me neither..."
Qianshou Xia Shi blinked playfully at Takumi, her happiness evident. Though she had been in 'heaven' for less than a day, it was overflowing with warmth and joy. To be in a place where even the gods played with them and took care of them was beyond anything she could have imagined.
Nasida dashed out from behind Bu'er, her eyes shining. "Lord Celestial Law, Lord Celestial Law, can I play too?"
