Chapitre 20: What am I getting into

Amelia stood in the quiet room, her mind a mess of thoughts. She felt tired, not just in her body but in her head too. The tension from earlier still hung in the air, and she needed to clear it somehow.

She glanced toward the small bathroom connected to the bedroom. Maybe a shower would help. The thought of warm water washing over her made her feet move toward the door.

Inside the bathroom, the light was soft, and the air smelled faintly of soap. She turned on the water, watching as steam slowly filled the small space. It felt inviting, almost like it was calling her to step in and let everything go.

She pulled her robe off and let it fall to the floor. Her skin prickled at the cool air, but she didn't mind. She reached for her hair, tying it up to keep it dry. Then, without hesitation, she stepped under the warm spray of the shower.
