'I want to know what their relationship was like...' Evelina thought, her mind swirling with questions. She glanced back at Leone, still peacefully asleep, unaware of the storm of thoughts brewing in her head.

'What did she mean to him?' Evelina wondered, her heart tightening at the thought. How deep was their connection? What made her so important that Leone still carries the weight of it?

As she sat on the edge of the bed, her eyes lingered on him, trying to reconcile the quiet, vulnerable man before her with the person he must have been when he was with Valentina. She couldn't help but feel a little protective of him.

She shook her head, trying to focus. 'I shouldn't pry into his past, she thought, but a small, persistent voice inside her argued otherwise. But I care about him... and understanding this might help me understand him better.'
