As they broke apart for air, Edoardo's eyes searched hers, his expression conflicted. "Are you sure you're okay with this?" he asked softly, concern lacing his voice.

Leonora nodded, her breath still uneven. "I'm sure," she whispered. "I want this, Edoardo."

Edoardo hesitated for a moment before pulling her closer, his arms wrapping securely around her waist. Their lips met again, the kiss deepening as if they were trying to fill the years of distance between them. His hands moved hesitantly under her shirt, fingertips grazing her skin.

Leonora moaned softly, 'Is it because I haven't done this in a while? Or am I just out of my mind?' The thought came and went as she focused on the warmth of his hands and the closeness they shared.

"Do you really want this?" Edoardo murmured against her lips, his hands stilling. "You're drunk, and—"
