Chapitre 2: Chapter 2: Divine Grail

The golden light, of course, attracted Morgan's attention. After all, she had inherited the memories of the original Morgan. It was as if these memories had always belonged to her, perfectly integrated, without any redundancy.

It was precisely because of this that she knew there shouldn't be anything unusual in this room. Yet, upon closer inspection, the glowing object wasn't something that existed in the original Morgan's memory.

Even so, Morgan recognized it. She had seen something similar back on Earth while watching the Fate series and the depiction of the Holy Grail War.

That was right; she couldn't mistake it. The object was unmistakably a Holy Grail, even if it had some differences compared to the one in the anime or game.

What's even more shocking was that the Mana and Divinity radiating from this strange grail were too powerful, unlike anything in Morgan's memory.

Stranger still was Merlin's absence, surely, the detection of such an artifact would have drawn him out instantly. Of such a thing here.

After calming herself, Morgan asked expectantly, "Could this be my cheat? Is this a true Holy Grail that grants wishes, or one that provides an infinite amount of Mana?"

To her, it didn't matter what type of Grail it was. If it could access the Throne of Heroes, she could replicate the Einzbern method of breaching the Throne and reaching the Root, enabling her to achieve True Magic.

With that, she wouldn't need to worry about the constraints of the world or the interference of the Counter Force.

If anyone saw Morgan, they must think they were crazy; the witch known for her cruelty and always cold face was at this time had a smile enough to melt any man's heart; she even murmured: "It would be fun if a Holy Grail War happened in this era."

Still, Morgan approached the Cup to examine it. The moment she laid her hand on it, a rush of information flooded her mind, a little different from when she had received the original Morgan's memories. This set of information was clearer. She closed her eyes, accepting everything.

When she opened them again, a laugh escaped her lips. "This... this Grail... no, this Divine Grail, is truly my cheat? Hahaha!" Her laughter, though controlled, was powerful enough to make any nearby revelers at the banquet turn their heads, if they could hear it through the stone walls.

But it's no wonder, even recalling all the Type-Moon Universe information she knew from her past life, there didn't seem to be anything related to this thing.

If the Holy Grail was an artifact for humanity, then the Divine Grail was a relic for the gods, a tool to rewrite their destinies.

The Divine Grail had formed from the collective wish of gods from a pruned timeline. These weren't just any gods nor from any minor pantheon. These were gods who had survived Velber 02, also known as Sefar.

You have to know that Velber is an extraterrestrial threat that routinely purges intelligent life.

It works on a set orbit, passing through the Milky Way Galaxy once every 14,000 years at faster-than-light speeds, selectively targeting and destroying all intelligent life in its path. It has been traveling nonstop for longer than all human measurements.

In other worlds where the Moon Cell doesn't exist, Velber 02 attacked Earth directly in 12,000 BC, destroying much of the life on Earth. 80% of the planet's surface was burned to ash and the civilizations that existed on Earth before its arrival were wiped out. That was 12,000 BC, during the Age of Gods.

There are also records within the British Lostbelt that the Fairies did not forge Excalibur. As a result, Velber succeeded in destroying all of Earth's civilizations, along with the entirety of the planet's continents and landmasses.

Then the Divine Grail, formed due to the wish of gods who managed to survive the Velber attacks, has truly some outrageous function.

The first one is its ability to sustain and maintain the world's independence; if Morgan remembers correctly, once one changes the past, humanity's history precisely, the energy that is at least equivalent to a Holy Grail is required.

A total rewrite of history would require more energy than exists on Earth, a limitation that Goetia overcomes by the Incineration of Humanity.

Apart from this, to allow the world to continue existing, there would also need enough energy, and this is the first ability of the Divine Grail; it allows a world to exist independently even without the Fantasy Tree or intervention of Alien God and also provides enough energy to maintain the world.

To this, Morgan was already thinking about the beautiful future: "Don't have to act according to story without worrying about suddenly being erased but not only that, if I bound the Divine Grail, I would essentially also have access to its boundless energy, isn't this infinite Mana at the beginning?"

The second function is reality tempering; once she bound the Divine Grail, this timeline would become an independent world; within this independent world, she has reality tempering ability, but there's a big restriction.

The energy required to temper reality isn't some Mana or Divinity but something akin to faith, but also not entirely this; she needs enough people to have trust and faith in her of their own accord without interfering with their free will.

This trust would be transformed into some kind of energy that allows her to temper the reality of the independent world; these are the two main functions of the Divine Grail, at least which she learned.

The Divine Grail also has a sub-function, and one of them is hiding the independent world; unless directly through the Root (source of everything in the world) or the permission of the Divine Grail owner, no want would be able to access the independent world.

She doesn't have to worry about one day Chaldea suddenly popping out of nowhere.

At this moment, Morgan has the feeling of when Madara merged with Ten Tail, invincible and unparalleled in the world, but that was only for a few seconds.

As a transmigrator, she knows what it truly means to be invincible. She didn't even bind the Divine Grail, and even after, she doesn't have enough faith to be able to change reality.

Even if she did accomplish these two conditions, she wouldn't really be invincible with Void Shiki and Arcuied Brunestud, let alone the infinite multiverse with characters like One Above All.

In short, she should take things gradually to at least have enough power to be able to do anything in this independent world.

Morgan couldn't help but sigh: "This would be the perfect beginning of I was Artoria with how the knights of the Round Table believe her."

Now, she doesn't seem to have that much chance in Britain; her reputation as a witch is already loud enough, and she doesn't see herself gaining the trust of the people here.

The best outcome is to go to a land where she is unknown, starting over and creating her own kingdom, she would gradually gain people's trust and all.

She quickly shook her head and said: "Let's not think about this, I should first bind this Divine Grail to me."

The process is very simple; she just needs to drop her blood on the Divine Grail, and the magic is done.

...

Meanwhile, Merlin, who was at the banquet touching these nobles' ladies, suddenly shifted his focus because he remarked something strange; his Clairvoyance seemed to be going crazy.

Different world lines started emerging, but all of them had one thing in common: Morgan didn't act according to her script but was doing something strange.

Not only Merlin but the remaining Gods and mystical beings with high-level Clairvoyance, hidden within the Inner Sea, noticed the disturbance.

Then, the moment Morgan's blood dropped on the Divine Grail, all of them, without exception, suddenly found their Clairvoyance had been cut off.

I think Morgan should go to another Land to build her kingdom, but where do you think she should go? Also, what do you think of the setting?
