Chapitre 60: Chapter 60: You Have It Coming

Tang San spun around abruptly, a dark glow flickering in his left hand as the Clear Sky Hammer materialized. His twin martial souls had already been exposed not long ago, and now, facing Ye Ritian, he had no choice but to give it his all. Today, he vowed, would be the day of Ye Ritian's demise.

The venomous green spider spears and the Clear Sky Hammer clashed. Sparks flew as the two weapons collided, Tang San's massive hammer swinging down toward Ye Ritian's head.

The Clear Sky Hammer, despite not yet possessing any soul rings, weighed over 500 pounds. With a single blow, it shattered the ground beneath, leaving it fractured like a spider's web.

Ye Ritian twisted mid-air, planting his foot firmly against a nearby wall. His Soul-Devouring Spider Emperor spear slashed downward, once again colliding with Tang San's hammer.

Both fighters glared at each other, eyes ablaze with battlelust. The air grew thick with the stench of bloodlust, suffocating anyone who might dare to approach.

In a secluded cave nestled in the hills near Notting City, a figure cloaked in black stood silently. Tang Hao, his face obscured, gazed at a single stalk of Blue Silver Grass marked with golden streaks. His eyes radiated warmth.

"Ah Yin, I've been by your side for so long. It's time I went to check on Xiao San." Tang Hao's voice was soft but firm.

The Blue Silver Grass swayed gently as if responding to him.

Tang Hao's lips curled into a bitter smile. Moments later, his body transformed into a streak of black light and shot into the sky, heading toward Soto City.

In a dim alleyway on the eastern outskirts of Soto City, Tang San knelt on the ground, panting heavily. His Eight Spider Lances protruded from his back, while his hands clutched the battered remnants of the Clear Sky Hammer. Across from him, Ye Ritian stood equally exhausted, his arms trembling as his spider spears quivered uncontrollably.

The battlefield bore the scars of their clash—Blue Silver Grass shredded to pieces and strewn everywhere, signs of an intense struggle.

Tang San's ability to use soul skills made him a formidable opponent. Were it not for certain constraints on Ye Ritian's identity, Tang San might have already been defeated.

Ye Ritian advanced, his spider spear poised for another strike. Tang San, in turn, gripped his hammer and swung with all his might.

The two warriors clashed again, but this time, Ye Ritian anticipated Tang San's move. Sidestepping the Clear Sky Hammer, he retaliated with a vicious slash of his spear.

A bloodcurdling scream pierced the night.

One of Tang San's Eight Spider Lances was severed, falling to the ground with a sickening thud.

Tang San collapsed to one knee, his face contorted in agony. Sweat poured down his forehead as he clutched the ground to steady himself. The pain was unbearable—losing an external soul bone was akin to having one's own limb torn away.

His Clear Sky Hammer, cracked and splintered, barely supported his weight. Gritting his teeth, he looked up at Ye Ritian, his voice trembling with rage.

"Ye Ritian, must you go this far?"

Ye Ritian spat disdainfully. "Far? I haven't even started. You disgust me, Tang San. What can you possibly do about it?"

The bitterness in Ye Ritian's voice was palpable. Between Tang San's ambush with the Silent Sleeve Arrow and the poisoning of Shi Mo and Shi Mo, there was no shortage of reasons to hate him.

While the outcome of the fight in the arena had already been decided, Tang San's underhanded actions had crossed the line. Ye Ritian had no intention of holding back any longer.

"Today, I'm taking the rest of your Eight Spider Lances."

Tang San's eyes widened in shock. He had known from the start that Ye Ritian was after his soul bone. The Eight Spider Lances were a treasure coveted by any soul master.

What enraged him most, however, was Ye Ritian's audacity to kidnap Xiao Wu and use her as leverage.

As Ye Ritian closed the distance between them, Tang San scrambled to his feet, panic setting in for the first time in his life. His instincts screamed that he was about to face something far worse than mere humiliation.

Desperately, Tang San reached into his Twenty-Four Moonlit Bridges, pulling out an assortment of throwing knives and needles. He hurled them all at once.

The alley erupted in a deadly barrage of projectiles, a blinding display of Tang San's mastery of hidden weapons.

Ye Ritian remained calm, his spider spears shimmering with a faint purple glow. With a leap, he soared into the air, evading the rain of blades and needles.

Tang San's eyes twitched as his hidden weapons pierced only the ground.

Before he could react, Ye Ritian descended from above like a vengeful god, his Soul-Devouring Spider Emperor spear slicing through the air.

Tang San raised his Clear Sky Hammer in a desperate attempt to block the attack.

CRACK!

The hammer shattered under the force of the spear.

As shards of metal scattered across the ground, Tang San found himself pinned beneath Ye Ritian's foot.

"You two-faced snake," Ye Ritian sneered. "How does it feel to be beneath me?"

Tang San gritted his teeth, blood dripping from his forehead. Humiliation coursed through his veins. A second life on this earth, and yet here he was, utterly defeated.

"If you don't kill me today, I'll make sure to return the favor next time."

Ye Ritian chuckled coldly. "Next time? Let's see how you fight without these!"

Placing a hand on Tang San's back, Ye Ritian pressed down on the base of the Eight Spider Lances. Tang San's body tensed as dread consumed him.

"What are you doing? Stop! You bastard!"

Tang San's mind raced. His teacher had once explained that external soul bones were an integral part of a soul master's body. Unless the soul master perished, they could never be separated.

Yet Tang San's Eight Spider Lances had not fully fused with his body. Ye Ritian could feel it—a faint separation between the bone and flesh.

With ruthless precision, Ye Ritian severed the remaining spider spears one by one. Tang San screamed in agony as his back bled profusely, staining the ground crimson.

The pain was indescribable.

Moments later, Tang San's eyes rolled back, and he collapsed unconscious.

Ye Ritian stood over him, holding the extracted Eight Spider Lances in his hand. A satisfied smirk crossed his face as he glanced down at Tang San's battered body.

"So, Tang San... even you have days like this."
