Anabella flinched as her shoulder ached due to her husband's tight grip. Her pheromones turned sour due to her injury, snapping Daniel out of whatever daze he was in.

He looked at his hand, and then at the shoulder, he was gripping before quickly stepping back and almost falling as he collided with the sofa behind his back.

"I-I apologize. This was not what I intended to do-"

Daniel did not regret what happened, but he did feel awkward looking at Anabella once he had hurt her.
