Kai stood, dumbfounded at what he just heard. SSS-Rank mage? There's no possible way, not at his current level. Even he knew he wasn't as strong as Shuzen yet, let alone Etyrion.

"Eh. Aptitude tests are bullshit relics of the past. My way of measuring power is, like, leagues better." Etyrion said as he made a gesture of ripping paper.

'He just can't be a normal person...' Kai grumbled internally.

Why did he have to make a false promise of him being SSS-Rank, just to then say that system is bunk?

Laughing at Kai's indignation, Etyrion slapped his dragon's knee (he had to reach to hit it) before saying, "Don't worry, you still did well enough. For a newbie, anyway."

'A newbie?' Kai glared at Etyrion.

'Sure, I've only had my ability for a week, but still. I'm not some newbie. I have my own S-Rank beast, damnit!'

Etyrion returned this defiance with a smile as he said, "Wanna know your results, newbie?"
