*The next day*
*Knock* *Knock* *Knock*
"Sy can you see who it is??" Jaden said while yawning.
"Why me? Why not Kai or Chum?" Syrus said sleepily.
"Can you guys stop acting like a bunch of bitches for once...i'll open it." I said while still being sleepy.
*yawn* *yawn*
"Yeah who is-" I said while opening the door.
"Disciplinary Action Squad." A lady responded.
"Yuri Kai, Yuki Jaden and Truesdale Syrus...all 3 of you all have been immediately called to the chancellor office."
"Oh Kai what is happ-THE DISCIPLINARY ACTION SQUAD!!!"
"You are Truesdale Syrus right?"
"Yes ma'am."
"You have been called to the office."
"Ja wake up we are in trouble right now." Syrus said panicking.
"What happened Sy?"
"How can you still be sleeping right now? Chumley help me."
"Anyways until those 2 are done, can you tell me why we are getting called to the Chancellor Office?"
"I can't reveal any information."
"Then I am afraid I won't be going with you guys."
"Excuse me?"
"I said I won't be going with you guys unless I know why?"
"School regulations. I am not allowed to reveal any information to the suspect."
"Suspect? What are you even talking? What are we even being accused of first of all?"
'Wait!! Is it due to us going to the abandoned dorm or did that useless motherfucker spill something? No Titan got sent to the shadow realm during his duel with Jaden or was it a trick? There is no way it was a trick I felt the dark energy present yesterday...'
As long as Syrus and Jaden don't say something dumb we should be able to get out of trouble pretty easily.
All 3 of us began changing into our uniforms and left for the Chancellor Office.
We were by 3 large screens, on one of them there was Sheppard, on the other one was the Chairman and on the third one was Crowler.
"Let's proceed with the proceeding shall we?"
"Chairman can you now explain to them what are they being accused of?"
"According to an insider news, you three were trespassing inside the abandoned dorm yesterday night." She said with a lot of demeanor.
"It's-"
"False ma'am." I said interrupting Syrus.
"Are you saying our insider news is lying to us right now? They saw you guys heading towards the abandoned dorm last night?"
"So your insider news didn't see us entering the dorm but only saw us heading towards the dorm? As far as I am concerned this is a false accusation you are putting on us right now."
"It is an extremely trusted source. The chances of it saying something fake is near non-existent."
"If you guys have no actual proof of us going in the dorm, then you are making us waste our time."
"I mean we don't have extremely concrete proof about you guys however as per the rules I will have no choice per to suspend you guys."
"What suspension...but-but-"
"Syrus calm down we are not getting suspended."
'Think there must be a way to get out of here...'
"I know!!"
"Huh!" Everyone in the room said in unison.
"I can prove our innocence."
"You can?" Jaden asked me confused at what I was saying.
"Yes. Why don't you track our duel disk and our PDA?"
"Your duel disk? The chances of you guys dueling there are extremely slim so it's pointless to do so."
"It's not tho."
"The duel disk can show the last place where it was activated and at what time. Kaiba Corporation has chips in them to track it in case of 'danger'."
"So where are you getting at? I am a bit confuse right now Kai" Sheppard ask me.
"Why don't you check my duel disk to see when and where was it activated the last time? As far as I am concerned your insider news must have given you guys a time he saw us heading towards the dorm right?"
"...yes."
"Then check my duel disk data and see where I was last night at that time."
An officer came and took my duel disk and told us to wait outside until it was the verification is done.
All three of us sat on a bench outside the room and began waiting for them to call us back.
"Kai can-"
"Stay quiet Jaden. There are cameras everywhere. Any dumb thing you say will be use against us."
"Also you Syrus..."
"..."
"Don't speak unless they tell you to or if possible keep your mouth closed till this is over. You get it?"
"yes..."
After 15 minutes the officer came back and told us to get in the room.
"As per the information provided by your duel disk, you were in the slifer red dorm..."
"Yes ma'am. All three of us were in the slifer dorm yesterday night. Isn't that right Jaden?"
"Yes we were all in our room last night."
"That is a concrete proof..."
"However your duel disk was on for 2 hours and 15 minutes. Might explaining that?"
"Sure I was checking my deck."
"For more than 2 hours, yes I was showing to them all the combos I can do and the differents decks I have."
"If anything it's a miracle I was able to finish that in 2 hours."
"..." All three of them just stared at us.
"That's enough proof just for you to show that you weren't there...what about those 2?" the chairman asked.
"I mean your inside news said we three were there but I just showed you that it's impossible that we were there so it's just a fake news."
"Why aren't those 2 saying anything?"
"They don't have the skill to talk back so...i am the one doing the talks."
"You three may go." Sheppard said.
"What but-but Chancellor Sheppard they were tresspas-"
"Enough Crowler, the proof is right here. They weren't in the dorm last night."
"But-"
"*COUGH* *COUGH* Crowler they weren't there you understand. It was just a mistake made by our 'insider'."
"You three may leave. If we need further information we will call you back."
"Yes sir."
All three of us left and headed straight to the shop.
"Oh hey Sadie."
"Hey Kai, why do you three look so stressed out?"
"Long story..."
"Can I buy three sandwiches?"
"Sure it's on the houses."
"You are giving me for free? Well that's new from you." I said a bit confused.
"You are Miss Dorothy and also my favourite student since you come here nearly everyday."
"Oh that's sweet."
"Don't get that over your head."
"Sure."
"Syrus what do you want to eat?"
"eh...what?"
"I said what do sandwich do you to eat?"
"A chicken sandwich but why are you asking...it's like im-"
"What about you Jaden?"
"Any sandwich except veggie."
"Sure."
I took 3 sandwiches and threw two at Jaden and Syrus.
"Let me guess this one is the golden eggwich?" Sadie asked me.
"Good guess."
"Why am I even not surprised..." She sighed and kept continuing her job.
I went to sit next to Jaden and Syrus.
"Wait it's actually a chicken sandwich..."
"Anyways what did you two want to talk?"
"How did you even do that?"
"Do what?"
"Like the duel disk. How did you-"
"Simple my duel disk is broken you forgot?"
"But I thought you fixed it."
"Not entirely. Last night was the final fixing for the duel disk."
"What do you mean?"
"You never realized that every time I am dueling I have to press a button for it to open instead of it opening automatically."
Jaden and Syrus both began thinking every time they saw me dueling.
"Now that you say it, you do always press the button to trigger it."
"Exactly so last night I tried fixing it after understanding how it works. So I put a timer for it to trigger automatically at 10p.m and since we came to our room after 12am I had to shut it down myself."
"Ah...that was smart from you to be honest."
"I know."
"Anyways imma eat my sandwich and sleep a bit."
"Wait you are not going to class?"
"WE are not going to class. I am tired as hell." Jaden answered Syrus.
"I blame you for that Jaden, if last night you didn't keep talking about your duel with Titan we could have gotten a good sleep."
"Oh but it was a great duel how could I not talk about it?"
*sigh* I ate my sandwich and slept on the bench inside the shop.
*3 hours later*
"Oh Kai, Jaden wake up. The shop is about to open."
"Uhm what."
"The shop is about to open."
"Oh Jaden wake up."
"what..."
"Wake up the shop is about to open..."
*yawn*
"Well that was a nice sleep."
"Yeah let's go now." We both left the back of the shop and went in front. Jaden went to buy a drink.
"KAI!!!!"
"Oh Alexis....what are you doing here?" She took a few deep breath.
"You look like you ran a marathon what happened?"
"I heard you, Jaden and Syrus were in trouble with the Disciplinary Committee."
"Yeah but no worries we aren't in any trouble."
She took a sigh of relief.
"Thank god."
"Syrus didn't tell you this?"
"Syrus? I didn't see him since last night Kai."
"..."
"Then how did you learn about this?"
"It was Chumley who told me."
"Then where did Syrus go?"
"?"
"He told us he is going to class but you are telling me you didn't see him?"
"Yes I didn't. Your seats were empty."
"Then where did he go? Oh well as long as he doesn't get in trouble we should be fine. He is probably just looking at girls or think about Dark Magician Girl. He is a young man you know, he needs his personal space and time to pleas-"
"*Cough*" She looked at me weirdly.
"Yeah I shouldn't have say that."
"Anyways I want to tell you something Alexis."
"What is it?"
"It's about your brother."
"My brother? What is it?"
"I can sort of help you find him."
"...really?" She said with a bit of hope in her eyes.
"I mean it will be better than anything you are doing so far."
"Atticus..."
"Meet me tonight in the abandoned dorm at midnight." I murmured in her ears
"...the abandoned dorm?"
"Oh hey Alexis." Jaden said breaking the tension between us.
"Jaden, are you alright?"
"Yeah, Kai saved us big time you know."
"I'm glad you guys didn't get in any issue due to me."
"Anyways I'll leave you guys by yourself." Alexis told us.
"See ya."
"So what are we gonna do right now Jaden?"
"A duel how about it. You vs me right now..."
"Try lasting more than 2 rounds this time."
We both took our stands.
"Duel"
Jaden: 4000lp
Kai: 4000lp
"I draw."
'Wait that's not my current deck...fuck I forgot to change deck. This deck is incomplete.'
"Jaden my deck is invalid. So we can't proceed with this duel."
"What do you mean?"
"It has 39 cards so I can't duel."
"Oh come on man."
"We duel tomorrow or later."
"You know what I'll take it as a win."
"...do whatever you want."
"Oh come on I had the cards to beat you. I could have won in just a-"
'If I used this deck you would probably wished you never learned how to duel.'
"Oh well Jaden. Unlucky right! Anyways imma head out. I have to meet someone."
"?"
"Alright then Imma see you later."
I took my PDA out and began walking out from there.
'Zane Truesdale...is he gonna be a worthy opponent? Oh well I will learn it someday I guess but right now I have something more important to look after.'
