Chapitre 117: C99(2)

Scamander became even more interested. With a wave of his wand, he closed the doors and windows, citing the excuse that the house was in disrepair and might leak.

Although Kain didn't believe Scamander's flimsy reasons, he stayed and explained many of his doubts to him. After all, this kind of thing only seemed to happen to him, and Scamander had a good reputation—unlike those dark wizards.

Thus, Kain demonstrated his powerful magical abilities and almost natural control, as well as his ability to breathe fire.

After Kain spewed flames from his mouth, the old man Scamander nearly jumped for joy. He even put down his wand and walked around Kain twice.

This behavior didn't subside until his wife, Tina, returned.

And Kain also took advantage of the opportunity to leave. He was afraid that if he stayed any longer, Scamander might start to regard him as a magical animal.

After Kain left, Scamander thought about it for a moment, then took out a quill and some letter paper and wrote:

"Dear Dumbledore, regarding the last time you asked me if I had any recommendations for wizards suitable for Defense Against the Dark Arts, I met an interesting young man today, and you may know him too."

The trip to the Romanian Dragon Training Farm went very smoothly. Although they encountered inquiries from local Aurors when entering the country, it had nothing to do with Kain and was all provoked by Scamander.

Luckily, Scamander didn't have the iconic leather case, so the Romanian Aurors let them go after a brief conversation about the Fantastic Beasts Act.

With Scamander's recommendation, Kain met Bill, the manager of the Dragon Training Farm, without any issues.

After the meeting, Kain didn't beat around the bush but directly stated his purpose: he wanted to contract all the fire dragon materials produced in Romania, including the fire dragons that might go berserk and hurt people, which are killed every year.

He wanted to buy them all himself.

Upon hearing this, Bill instinctively didn't want to agree because it seemed absurd, but Kain knew he would have this reaction, so he quickly outlined the benefits of doing so for him.

There would be a unified and fixed sales channel, eliminating the need to deal with numerous buyers each year, thus saving a lot of trouble. Kain also offered to donate 7,000 Galleons to the Romanian Dragon Farm annually.

Furthermore, the price of dragon materials would be doubled.

Bill was particularly moved by the last two conditions. With the increased income from Galleons, they could recruit more dragon tamers and purchase many more protective magical items.

This would give them greater confidence in dealing with dark wizards who poached fire dragons. It would also improve the treatment of fire dragons and dragon trainers, benefiting both dragon reproduction and overall farm management.

All Bill had to do was sell all the fire dragon materials produced by the Romanian Dragon Training Farm to Kain.

The only thing holding Bill back was that there were other wizards in the European magical community who also wanted to buy fire dragon materials, some of whom had a good relationship with him.

Kain had anticipated this concern and addressed it by offering Bill some membership cards to his magical material store. Bill's friends could use these cards to purchase dragon materials from him first.

This arrangement not only resolved Bill's concerns but also promised greater income and a better future for the Romanian Dragon Training Farm.

Kain, in turn, could monopolize the fire dragon materials in the European magical world. These materials would eventually be bundled with other magical supplies in his store.

This is why he had asked Guy to buy two shops.

Bill thought about it for a while and finally agreed to Kain's conditions. Kain knew exactly how many Galleons he could earn next, so he signed a very powerful magic contract with the Romanian Dragon Training Farm, increasing the damages for breach of contract to eight hundred thousand Galleons.

When Kain stated this amount, he said it to Bill in a very awe-inspiring manner, warning that if he defaulted on the contract and failed to purchase the fire dragon materials, Bill could use the magic contract to make him pay a heavy price.

Bill was a little moved and finally signed the magic contract decisively.

With the establishment of this magic contract, Kain's road to monopolizing magical materials in the European magical world had already begun.

After returning, Kain had to purchase a large amount of magical materials, first monopolizing the British magical world, and then expanding into other countries.

When fire dragon materials could no longer be found elsewhere, they would have no choice but to go to Kain in Diagon Alley to buy them.

The materials from the fire dragon were among the most versatile magical materials. Even dragon blood, discovered by Dumbledore, had twelve different uses, not to mention dragon meat, dragon hearts, and so on.

After dealing with the Romanian Dragon Farm, Kain and Scamander returned to the UK via the International Floo Network.

Before leaving, Scamander greeted Kain and said, "Mr. Pent, I think you will be very busy in the future, but when you are free, you are welcome to visit me anytime."

"Of course I will, Mr. Scamander."
