At the Mythic Productions office, Suraj leaned back in his chair, his eyes scanning the detailed reports from the scouting team. The past two weeks had been a whirlwind of activity, but the results were nothing short of spectacular. The team had secured all the locations required for Bhool Bhulaiyaa, and the efficiency with which they accomplished the task left Suraj impressed. The film's primary setting—a sprawling, eerie haveli in Rajasthan—had been finalized. It was a centuries-old structure, rich in history and steeped in local folklore, perfectly aligning with the atmospheric tone Suraj envisioned for the film.

The other minor locations, like the town's marketplace and a few exterior shots, had also been locked in. Suraj had given strict instructions to ensure the haveli's haunting allure remained intact during the shoot. "The haveli is practically a character in itself," Suraj had told the team. "Its design, lighting, and ambiance must immerse the audience in its mystery and dread."

Now that the locations were finalized, the next major milestone was the cast. Suraj's phone buzzed, pulling him from his thoughts. It was a confirmation from Kamal Singh's team: the superstar had signed the contract for ₹10 crores. Despite Kamal's immense stardom and demand, this figure was significantly lower than his usual fee—a testament to his belief in Suraj's vision and their growing camaraderie.

Securing Kamal wasn't just about the budget; getting his dates alone was a near-impossible feat for most production houses. Yet, here he was, agreeing not only to a reduced fee but also committing to a project in a genre that was still considered niche. Suraj felt a deep sense of gratitude. He was determined to make Bhool Bhulaiyaa a masterpiece—not just for himself but also to reward Kamal's faith in his abilities.

As he made his way to the meeting room, Suraj reviewed the film's schedule. The production was divided into two main phases. The first schedule would focus on scenes without Kamal, giving Suraj time to work with the supporting cast and perfect the groundwork before the superstar joined. Once Kamal came on board, they'd move to the climactic and intricate sequences, ensuring his scenes were shot with utmost precision.

In the meeting room, the core team gathered around a large table cluttered with papers, storyboards, and location photos. Kunal, his ever-supportive uncle and the backbone of Mythic Productions, sat at the head of the table, reviewing budgets.

"Are we really doing this with a ₹30–35 crore budget?" Kunal asked, raising an eyebrow.

Suraj nodded confidently. "Yes. I won't compromise on quality, Kunal Uncle. This film deserves every penny. We're creating something that hasn't been done before—something timeless."

Kunal leaned back, sighing. "I trust you, Suraj. But you're walking a fine line. Horror-comedy is a tricky genre, and it's still a gamble in our industry."

Suraj smiled. "That's what they said about Bloody Commando. And look how that turned out."

Kunal chuckled, shaking his head. "Alright, I'm with you. Just don't bankrupt us in the process."

The team then moved on to the next critical agenda: finalizing the rest of the cast. Suraj was meticulous in his approach, carefully selecting actors who would not only fit their roles but also bring authenticity to the narrative.

For the role of the protagonist's wife—a curious yet strong-willed woman whose fascination with the haveli sets the story in motion—Suraj chose Rhea Sharma, an actress known for her nuanced performances in character-driven roles.

For the comic relief, he selected Akash Mehra, a versatile actor with impeccable comedic timing. Akash's role as a bumbling historian who provides both laughs and key plot points was crucial to balancing the film's horror and humor.

"Every actor has to feel like they belong in this world," Suraj explained to his casting director. "Their chemistry, their quirks, and their emotions must draw the audience into the story. We can't afford weak links."

Once the casting decisions were finalized, Suraj turned his attention to the technical aspects. The art department was tasked with recreating portions of the haveli on a soundstage for scenes requiring controlled lighting and special effects. Meanwhile, the music director began composing the background score—a mix of eerie orchestral pieces and playful tunes that would amplify the film's dual tone.

The meeting concluded after several hours of detailed planning. Suraj stayed back, poring over the schedule one last time. The first schedule was set to begin in two weeks, giving him just enough time to prepare the team and actors.

---

Later that evening, Suraj returned to his desk, where he sketched out rough ideas for promotional material. One idea involved a teaser featuring Kamal's physicist character delivering a monologue about logic versus superstition while the camera panned through the dark, mysterious haveli. The thought excited him; this was a film that could redefine how audiences perceived horror-comedy in Akhand Bharat.

As he worked, his phone buzzed again. It was Kamal.

"Suraj, I've gone through the schedule," Kamal said, his voice upbeat. "I'll join right after the first schedule. I'm looking forward to it."

"Same here, Kamal," Suraj replied. "I promise you, this is going to be something special."

Kamal chuckled. "Knowing you, I don't doubt it. By the way, I read through the script again—it's brilliant. I still can't believe how perfectly balanced the horror and comedy are. You've got a winner here."

"Thank you, Kamal," Suraj said sincerely. "It means a lot coming from you."

As the call ended, Suraj felt a surge of motivation. With Kamal's support, a stellar cast, and a dedicated team, he was confident Bhool Bhulaiyaa would be a landmark film. But more than that, it was another step toward building the legacy he envisioned for Mythic Productions—and for himself.
