"Stop, stop! Please…"
Hinata blushed as she urgently pleaded in her heart, but her body couldn't help but continue attacking Naruto's shadow clone.
She couldn't control her Sixty-Four Palms properly, and the chakra within her began to go out of balance. If she didn't stop soon, she would exhaust her chakra completely.
The chaotic chakra could even end up injuring her.
In normal training, this wouldn't be a problem! There would be fellow Hyuga clan members around to help her with Gentle Fist chakra acupuncture, interrupting her movements to prevent any damage.
But now, there was no one from the Hyuga clan to help, and it was even more embarrassing to be struggling in front of Naruto!
Hinata, who had been determined to prove herself, couldn't accept this outcome.
What's going wrong?
As Naruto observed Hinata copying Neji's Sixty-Four Palms, he quickly realized something was off.
Naruto activated his Byakugan, and his right eye transformed into the white eye state, closing instantly. The movement was so fast that no one noticed it.
Her chakra is really disordered… Hinata, you're really trying your best to prove yourself!
Naruto sighed inwardly, pressed his feet against the ground, and released chakra, instantly appearing behind Hinata.
With his right hand moving unseen by others, chakra surged from his palm, and he executed an acupuncture stroke to interrupt Hinata's chaotic chakra flow.
At the same time, he wrapped his left arm around her, all in one seamless motion.
Hinata felt her chaotic chakra stabilize in an instant, her body softening as she fell into Naruto's arms.
I wanted to prove myself… but the result is…
Feeling the warmth of Naruto's embrace, Hinata gazed at his sun-kissed profile, her heart racing with mixed emotions of longing, reluctance, and inferiority.
Tears welled up in her eyes, the grievance overwhelming her.
"Hinata, you've worked so hard! I've seen your persistence and dedication, and I truly acknowledge your existence. I still like you just the way you are. I hope you can always stay true to yourself…"
Seeing the tears on Hinata's flushed face, Naruto couldn't help but speak gently.
He… likes me?
Hinata, already emotional, felt her heart surge even more with excitement after hearing Naruto's heartfelt words.
And then…
Well, I can't take this anymore!
Hinata fainted from the overwhelming embarrassment.
"Hyūga Hinata has lost consciousness! In this match, Uzumaki Naruto wins!"
The examiner, Genma Shiranui , approached to confirm Hinata's condition and announced the result in a loud voice.
The auditorium erupted with chatter and laughter…
Many spectators were left feeling disappointed by this unexciting match.
"...
Next, let's invite the contestants for the second round. Uchiha Sako will face Temari…"
Genma Shiranui quickly shouted as he sensed the audience's dissatisfaction.
Even though Uchiha was an orphan, the name held great weight in Konoha. The crowd cheered enthusiastically, eager to witness the Uchiha's battle.
Not wanting to be overshadowed, Naruto carried Hinata toward the lounge.
"Naruto! Is Hinata okay?"
Kurenai Yuhi rushed forward, worry etched across her face, her eyes reflecting her concern.
"I'm not really sure either. Teacher Kurenai, please take Hinata to Konoha Hospital for a thorough examination."
Naruto wanted to say she would be fine, but after considering the situation, he opted for honesty.
"Hinata is truly brave. I'll take her to the hospital right away…"
Kurenai shot Naruto a charming glance and scolded him lightly before hurrying away with Hinata in her arms.
In the meantime, during this month of boredom, Naruto had been sending flowers to Kurenai through Asuma. Though there hadn't been much progress, it was still somewhat effective.
Kurenai Yuhi no longer looked at him like a child.
In fact, there were medical ninjas at the venue, but Kurenai was still worried about internal injuries, so she took Hinata to Konoha Hospital.
Lounge
"Finally, it's my turn!"
Gaara and Kankuro waited eagerly to see Temari defeat that Uchiha genius.
Temari gracefully picked up the large fan beside her and smiled confidently. With a flick of her wrist, the giant fan unfolded, and she tiptoed onto it, floating down like a feather.
"Beat me??"
Sako snorted coldly from the other side of the lounge, raising her beautiful face dismissively.
According to Kakashi, her current strength was on par with a jōnin. She didn't think much of the Sand Shinobi genin.
In the next moment, Sako activated the Body Flicker Technique and vanished from sight.
The dazzling appearances of Sako and Temari sent the audience into another cheer.
With this matchup, it was sure to be a spectacular duel, especially since both were stunningly beautiful. The crowd's anticipation grew even more.
"Now, the match begins…"
Genma Shiranui , noticing the audience's excitement, decided to keep his words brief. He called out softly, "Little girl Uchiha, this isn't a dressage party.
...ask for flowers...
Your beautiful clothes won't survive this match."
Temari raised her seductive red lips, gazing at Sako with her cold, beautiful eyes. She smirked, disdain evident in her tone.
Sako's attire made Temari feel looked down upon. She believed Sako was underestimating her and showing disrespect to her opponent.
"The people of the Sand Shinobi can only play tricks with their sharp teeth!
Let's see what you've got…"
Sako scoffed disdainfully, activating her Sharingan as she coldly addressed Temari.
Thanks to the Goddess system rewards, Sako took this highly anticipated battle seriously, even going so far as to wear custom-made women's clothing.
"Don't underestimate me…"
Temari's eyes sharpened as she swung her huge fan effortlessly, using the force of her feet to charge forward.
"Are you trying to compete in gymnastics?
I'll just play with you…"
Seeing this, Sako drew the long knife at her waist, chakra bursting forth from her feet as she charged at Temari.
Bang… Bang bang…
The iron fan and long knife clashed instantly, sending sparks flying as they quickly separated.
Sako's long sword was merely an excellent weapon from the Uchiha clan—not a precious item.
Against Temari's special iron fan, it was an even match…
However, with her Three Tomoe Sharingan, Sako effortlessly predicted Temari's moves, always staying a step ahead.
With this advantage, Temari was forced to grit her teeth and defend herself.
In less than a minute, they exchanged dozens of blows.
Temari found herself at a disadvantage, struggling to keep up…
Is this what Sharingan is capable of? No wonder Mr. Baki said that against Uchiha's Sharingan, one-on-one battles are risky!
As Sako pressed her advantage again, Temari's delicate face hardened. An idea struck her, and she suddenly opened her fan wide.
"Ninja Art: Wind Sand Dust!"
Temari shouted loudly, waving her iron fan.
A violent hurricane mixed with sand and dust surged toward Sako.
Sako reacted quickly, bursting chakra from her feet to avoid being blinded by the storm.
"Escaped? As long as your vision is blocked, no matter how powerful your eyes are, they're useless."
"Ninja Art: Whirlwind Blast!"
Temari yelled as she continued to wield her fan, unleashing a torrent of wind, sand, and dust, mixed with powerful small wind blades that struck the audience.
In no time, the entire venue was engulfed in gray, visibility nearly obliterated.
