Chapitre 54: Chapter 54 Afterwards

To be honest, Eisen had considered whether he could take the opportunity to withdraw from Hogwarts now that he could live forever.

However, the previous attack on Quirrell, which had defeated the opponent decisively, gave Eisen more confidence in his own strength, even without any external validation.

Additionally, after incorporating the immortality property of the Philosopher's Stone, his physical fitness had significantly improved, reaching a level four times that of an ordinary person, further boosting his confidence.

Moreover, as time went on, his magical power would continue to grow stronger. Since he could rapidly become more powerful, was there really any need to run away without doing anything? Obviously, Eisen preferred to stay at Hogwarts.

Furthermore, he was not directly exposed to Voldemort's gaze, allowing him to continue being an inconspicuous professor at Hogwarts. Another very important reason for his decision was the possibility of accessing the Time-Turner while at Hogwarts.

"Yes, Professor Eisen, you are the most gifted wizard I have ever seen. To be honest, even he is not as talented as you." Feeling the growing magical power within Eisen, Dumbledore was astonished by what he perceived as true magic.

A year ago, when Eisen first entered Hogwarts, his magical power was on par with that of an ordinary adult wizard. Now, however, it had far surpassed that level.

Dumbledore could even sense the magic flowing in Eisen's body, and if Eisen continued to grow at this rate, he might surpass Dumbledore in a few years.

Initially, Dumbledore had been somewhat wary of Eisen, a Muggle-born wizard. However, after a year, based on his performance in astronomy class, Dumbledore was convinced that Eisen was not like the dark wizards he had encountered. Thus, he felt more at ease.

"By the way, Professor Dumbledore, could you please keep this a secret and not reveal my involvement in this matter?" Although Eisen felt confident enough to confront Voldemort directly, he preferred not to expose himself unnecessarily.

"Voldemort didn't see me, so—" Noticing the suspicion in Dumbledore's eyes, Eisen quickly clarified, then added a knowing look.

"So, you wish to continue lurking in the shadows!" Dumbledore's expression shifted to understanding, and admiration flickered in his eyes. Clearly, Dumbledore was pleased with Eisen's cautious attitude.

"Exactly. I plan to surprise Voldemort at the right moment!" Eisen nodded, feeling that as a passing professor, it was prudent to maintain his anonymity.

"Okay, so what about Harry and the others—" Dumbledore nodded but then hesitated when mentioning the trio.

"I'll tell them that Professor Dumbledore saved Harry at the last minute!" Eisen understood Dumbledore's hesitation but had no qualms about asking the students to lie.

...

Eisen had mostly stopped worrying about his parentage since his in-depth conversation with Dumbledore. While he had created a wizard persona as a Muggle research expert, Dumbledore had likely investigated Eisen's origin thoroughly over the past year.

Dumbledore had chosen not to mention Eisen's identity during their discussion, so Eisen no longer felt the need to fret about it. When he had the chance, he wanted to reflect on the changes within himself.

Unfortunately, since fusing with the legendary immortality feature, Eisen had not noticed any further changes beyond his improved physical fitness and the smoother control of his magical power.

As for whether he could feel the effects of immortality, he realized he could not perceive it at all. From this perspective, immortality would be something to be confirmed over time.

Regardless, it was quite gratifying that while Voldemort had worked so hard to achieve immortality, Eisen had attained it through different means.

When Eisen arrived at the hospital wing, he found Ron and Hermione gathered around Harry.

Harry had regained consciousness and appeared to be in good spirits, as the pain in his scar from being so close to Voldemort seemed to have completely subsided.

"Professor Eisen!" Harry was sharing his experiences with Ron and Hermione when he saw Eisen enter, his face lighting up with joy.

"Harry, are you alright?" Eisen smiled and asked with concern.

"Phew, I'm fine! Also, thank you, Professor, for saving me from Voldemort." Harry stretched, demonstrating that he was okay, then expressed his gratitude.

"I'm a professor, after all, so of course, I must protect you. Besides, if I'm not mistaken, Quirrell shouldn't have been able to touch you. As long as you caught him, you'd be safe!"

Eisen was well aware of what had happened that day and understood the situation clearly. Therefore, he knew that if Harry had confronted Quirrell directly, he would not have been able to escape.

"Yes, Dumbledore already told me that my mother placed the protective spell on me. But I still need to thank the professor!" Harry nodded.

"So, the Philosopher's Stone is gone?" Ron interjected.

"Yes, according to Professor Dumbledore, the Sorcerer's Stone has been destroyed!" Seeing Ron's disappointed expression, Harry shrugged.

"And Nico Flamel is dying too?" Ron continued.

"That's what I heard, but Professor Dumbledore said, 'To the sane, death is just a great adventure.'" Harry found it puzzling why Nico Flamel would choose to die, but as a wizard of his age, he simply didn't understand.

"I'd say he's a little mad." Ron suddenly felt that Dumbledore, the great white wizard, was somewhat unreasonable.

Eisen, observing the conversation between the three, couldn't help but chuckle to himself, thinking, "I never expected to become immortal so easily."

"By the way, do you think Dumbledore deliberately guided you to this outcome?" Eisen suddenly changed the subject. "He gave you your father's invisibility cloak, which allowed you to discover the Philosopher's Stone, right?"

"That would be quite unsettling—" Hermione couldn't help but shudder. "I mean, if it weren't for Professor Eisen, Harry, you might have really been killed!"

"I don't think so," Harry shook his head, then appeared thoughtful. "Dumbledore must have known what we were planning, but instead of stopping us, he taught us many useful things. I mean—"

"The training he provided empowered you to confront Voldemort directly!" Eisen added to Harry's point.

"Exactly, that's it!" Harry looked around at the others and nodded vigorously.

"Well, that's what makes Dumbledore so great. But, with two days until the year-end banquet, do you need to prepare?" As he spoke about the banquet, Ron seemed to be thinking about the food and couldn't help but swallow.

"Oh, please!" Hermione immediately looked discouraged at the mention of the year-end banquet, as if she had lost all motivation.

"What happened to Hermione?" Harry wondered why she seemed so downcast.

"Ahem—I know why; it's because Slytherin won the House Cup. You missed the last Quidditch match, and the Gryffindor team didn't defeat the Ravenclaw team!" At this, Eisen winked at Harry and made a funny face.

"Ah—this—" Harry felt embarrassed, recalling that he not only missed the last Quidditch match but also had points deducted alongside Neville.

Ron remained impassive, while Hermione rolled her eyes in exasperation.

"Someone is coming to see you again!" A faint sound of footsteps outside the door caught Eisen's attention. He had noticed that his improved physical fitness, now four times that of an ordinary person, had heightened his senses.

Though his senses had yet to achieve the effects of a super sense spell, he was already acutely aware of the changes in himself.

"Who is it?" Harry asked suspiciously, looking toward the door.

Just then, a tall figure entered sideways. It was Hagrid.

"Harry, I'm really sorry; it's all my fault for telling that villain how to subdue Fluffy!" Hagrid covered his face with his hands, tears in his eyes. "I won't drink anymore; I deserve to be punished and expelled from Hogwarts."

It was clear that Hagrid was extremely frustrated and blaming himself.
