Chapitre 2: Chapter 1

The letter in the hands of the little red-haired girl finally explained the truth.

She wasn't a squib like her older brothers said. She was a witch.

- Dad, dad! she exclaims excitedly, running to the kitchen and pulling her younger sister, Ginny, along the way.

- Watch where you're going, adopted!

However, she was already in the kitchen far from hearing the girl's offensive comment.

Her mother was there, cooking for the whole family, excited that in three days her son would attend magic school.

For some reason, they sometimes used to forget about her, pretending that she was a flowerpot or that she wasn't part of her large family, but her red hair and freckles gave away her DNA.

"Not now, Nike," she murmurs, moving her wand so that some carrots are cut and put in her saucepan.

She hates her name, and she doesn't know why.

The red-haired girl did not dislike her first name, it was original and mysterious.

But her mother and her entire family have insisted on calling her Nike, after her middle name.

If they didn't like her name, why did they call her that?

They could have called her Penelope, Jessica, Elizabeth, or Danielle, and they wouldn't be repulsed by her name.

And she had deduced that from seeing how she writes her name in notebooks, sometimes she insisted that her name is Skuld, and she introduces herself as such.

Not Nike Weasley.

Just Skuld Weasley.

"Mom, I got the letter!" She exclaims excitedly again.

Molly Weasley dropped the saucepan held in the air by magic and slowly turned to look at her second-youngest daughter.

It's... Impossible for Mother Weasley.

"You don't have to lie to me, Nike," she says in a slightly softer tone. She should be understanding with her.- I'm not angry with you for not being equal to your brothers.

- I'm not lying, Mom - Skuld hands her the letter and she takes it suspiciously. - I'm going to Hogwarts with the twins, Perce and Ronnie!

When her mother finishes reading the letter, she opens her mouth a couple of times with ideas flying throughout the house.

Albus Dumbledore said...he was crazy.

"We must go to Diagon Alley," she whispered, about to faint.

. . . . .

She looked at all possible sides trying to take in every detail of the very interesting alley. Joke shops, owls, people out and about, ice cream parlors...

For Skuld, it was a sight worth admiring, but she unconsciously imagines all this desolate, in times of war, with people without the confidence to do their shopping calmly.

That was her flaw.

Her mind worked differently, and her desires were different.

She always imagined war, pain, and distrust.

They entered a store where there was only a single wand displayed in the window, and the bell on the door rang.

One, two, three seconds it took for an old man with huge gray eyes to appear almost running.

"I was waiting for Miss Weasley to pick up her wand, oh yes!" He said without blinking. "Which arm do you hold the wand with?"

- I'm left-handed.

Another difference with the rest of her family: they are all right-handed.

She? The only left-handed person, who has a mind on another level of imagination.

A magic measuring tape begins to measure her arm, her fingers, and even her nostrils.

The eldest of the Weasley sisters finds this amusing and annoying at the same time, as it tickles her.

- Try this one... - He hands her a wand. - 25.8 centimeters, pine wood, phoenix feather center...

She waves the wand around, feeling a little clumsy, and it is immediately snatched away.

A chair had fallen, startling her and her mother.

-No, definitely not...- Ollivander denies, or as she assumes it is called by the name of the store.- I see something special in you, so... I think this wand will be special...

She takes it delicately, noticing something different in the other. It is not a brown tone like the other one, this one is black, delicately carved, and at the same time beautiful.

The moment the wood makes contact with her skin, she feels a shiver and red sparks fly from the tip with just a touch.

-Wow!-She says, excited.

- 27.5 centimeters, not very flexible, Maple tree wood and... Well, curious, very curious.

Molly instantly became scared of what the wand might say. Albus Dumbledore warned her...

"What's curious, Mr. Ollivander?" the girl asks in a polite and curious manner, admiring the wand.

She imagined her casting spells... Creating things... With the power to dominate people...

-The center of it has only been used twice, one of them ended badly, very badly...-he stares at her without blinking. - Any center with material taken from the thestral has great power...

Anguish grows in Molly Weasley's body at the same time as her daughter's imagination soars that she will never be able to have a normal life despite the efforts of her parents.
