It took Christopher longer than he expected to create the weapons. However, he wasn't really surprised.

Unlike when he was learning about runes, forging items depended on his experience and comprehension. Before now, he had never used a hammer to hit any piece of forged metal in his life.

As such, it was natural for him to fail a few times during the process. However, he wasn't discouraged in the least. In fact, he was more excited than anything.

To say he'd been having an easy time since he entered this world was an understatement, and pretty much everything went the way he wanted it to. So when he failed in during the process of creating the items, he felt a strong sense of challenge in his heart and strived to improve. And improve he did.
