Mo Yu successfully acquired the severely damaged Sixfold Grand Void Sword for 200,000 gold coins, and not many people wanted to be the fool to take on such a deal. After the auction ended, Mo Yu quickly handed over the total of 230,000 gold coins for the Golden Sun Wood and the Sixfold Grand Void Sword, before promptly leaving the Mite-er Auction House.

The fact that the Mite-er Auction House sold a broken sword for 200,000 gold coins became quite the topic of conversation, and the news spread throughout Black Rock City.

After leaving the auction house, Mo Yu sensed several faint presences trailing him. However, these presences didn't seem malicious, only following him from a distance. The corners of Mo Yu's lips curled into a slight smile.

After walking through a few streets, Mo Yu finally returned to the inn where he was staying. He noticed that one of the presences following him split off, leaving the remaining few still tailing him.

Seeing this, Mo Yu sat on the bed cross-legged, calmly cultivating while quietly waiting for something.

Half an hour later, just as Mo Yu had completed a few cycles of Dou Qi circulation, a sudden knock came at the door.

Hearing the knock, a smirk appeared on Mo Yu's face. He had already expected who it might be.

Withdrawing from his cultivation state, Mo Yu stood up, walked over, and slowly opened the door. A thin, middle-aged man with an imposing aura came into view.

This man was none other than Ye Cong, the patriarch of the Ye Clan, one of the four great families of the northeastern province of the Jia Ma Empire.

Seeing the visitor, Mo Yu showed no surprise, as if he had known this would happen.

At the same time, Ye Cong's gaze swept over Mo Yu's youthful appearance, a faint trace of disappointment flickering in his eyes. But when he noticed the boy's calm and composed black eyes, an unexpected spark of hope ignited within him.

"I am Ye Cong, the patriarch of the Ye Clan. Due to some personal matters, I've come to disturb you. Coincidentally, the inn you've chosen happens to be owned by my clan. As a token of apology, the Ye Clan will cover your stay here," Ye Cong said with a polite smile.

Though the accommodation fees were insignificant to Mo Yu, Ye Cong's words were impeccable, giving no reason for resentment—fitting for a clan patriarch.

"Heh, so you're the famous patriarch of the Ye Clan, one of the four great families in the northeastern province. I've long heard of you, Ye Cong. Please come in," Mo Yu responded casually, showing neither fear nor anxiety despite Ye Cong's status.

Ye Cong couldn't help but feel a bit curious about Mo Yu's calm demeanor. His status was out of reach for most people, and the Ye Clan's reputation was well known throughout the empire. However, this young man showed no sign of panic or awe, handling the situation with grace and courtesy. This alone made Ye Cong view him with a bit more respect.

But just when Ye Cong thought he had a good impression of the boy, Mo Yu's next words left him utterly shocked.

"You've come here today because of the Sixfold Grand Void Sword, haven't you?" Mo Yu said with a light smile as he poured Ye Cong a cup of tea.

Upon hearing this, Ye Cong's face changed slightly, and a faint murderous intent flashed in his eyes. However, when he looked up at the boy's smiling face, he quickly regained his composure, accepting the tea to mask his expression.

As Ye Cong slowly drank the tea, his expression shifted constantly. After a moment, he finally stared at Mo Yu and asked in a low voice, "What do you mean by that?"

The Sixfold Grand Void Sword was a secret closely guarded by the Ye Clan, known only to the high-ranking members. How did this young man know about it?

Seeing Ye Cong's changing expression, Mo Yu smiled faintly. With a thought, he retrieved the Sixfold Grand Void Sword from his storage ring and placed it on the table in front of them.

At the sight of the sword, Ye Cong's expression froze.

Gently stroking the heavily damaged sword, Mo Yu began to speak slowly, "If I'm not mistaken, this Sixfold Grand Void Sword was consigned to the Mite-er Auction House by your Ye Clan, correct?"

Hearing Mo Yu's words, Ye Cong's large hand trembled slightly, disbelief filling his eyes as he looked at the boy. What else did he know?

Mo Yu narrowed his eyes slightly, smiling, "The reason your Ye Clan put it up for auction was to find a buyer capable of restoring it. After all, anyone willing to spend 200,000 gold coins on a broken sword must have the means to repair it. From there, your clan could trace the buyer to a master weapon refiner."

"As for why your clan didn't openly seek help, it's probably because this sword is linked to the life of your Ye Clan's ancestor, correct? If word got out that your ancestor was in a precarious situation, it would put the Ye Clan in danger."

The night before, Mo Yu had gathered all the information he could about the Ye Clan, including details about their ancestor, who had been in seclusion for many years and was known for his skill with the sword.

When Mo Yu sensed the faint remnant of a soul on the Sixfold Grand Void Sword, he suspected that the Ye Clan's ancestor practiced a technique similar to Sword Control.

Sword Control was a powerful swordsmanship technique that was popular among some sects on the continent in Mo Yu's previous life. It involved merging one's soul with the sword, allowing them to control it with incredible skill. However, the bond between the soul and the sword was so deep that if the sword was severely damaged, the wielder would suffer a grave injury.

Mo Yu deduced that this Sixfold Grand Void Sword was the Ye Clan ancestor's weapon, and the reason for his long seclusion wasn't for a breakthrough, but because his soul had been seriously injured.

Though Mo Yu didn't know what kind of enemy the Ye Clan ancestor had faced, the extent of the sword's damage showed how critical the injuries were.

To restore the ancestor's injuries, the Sixfold Grand Void Sword would first need to be repaired.

If the damage were minor, the wielder could slowly nurture the sword back to health. But for such extensive damage, only a master weapon refiner could handle the restoration.

However, weapon refiners were extremely rare on the Dou Qi continent, and the Ye Clan couldn't openly seek one due to the secrecy involved. Thus, they used the Mite-er Auction House to bait potential candidates.

Ye Cong was astonished by how thoroughly this boy understood their secret. "How did you know all this?" he asked, his voice filled with shock.

Mo Yu chuckled, "I've studied weapon refiner with my master since childhood. I could tell the condition of the Sixfold Grand Void Sword at a glance. After piecing together the recent situation of your clan, I deduced the rest."

Hearing the mention of weapon refiner, Ye Cong's shock turned to delight. The Ye Clan had gone through so much trouble in order to find a weapon refiner, after all.

Standing up quickly, Ye Cong cupped his fists and asked eagerly, "Where is your master? As long as they can restore the Sixfold Grand Void Sword and heal my ancestor, not only will we return the 200,000 gold coins, but the Ye Clan will also offer an additional reward of 500,000 gold coins!"

Five hundred thousand gold coins was an astronomical sum—enough to buy an advanced Xuan-classs technique back in Wu Tan City for around 550,000 coins. The sincerity of Ye Cong's offer was undeniable.

But to Mo Yu, gold coins were just numbers. Shaking his head, he replied, "I'm afraid my master is traveling the world right now, and I don't know where he is."

Ye Cong's face immediately fell in disappointment. Just as he was about to give up, Mo Yu's voice rang out again. "However, though my master isn't around, I'm confident I can repair the Sixfold Grand Void Sword myself."

Ye Cong's gaunt face lit up in surprise, his disbelief evident as he asked, "Are you serious?"

Seeing the doubt in Ye Cong's eyes, Mo Yu wasn't offended. "I have no reason to deceive you. Besides, do you have any better candidates than me?"

Ye Cong's expression shifted. What Mo Yu said struck at his deepest concern—there were indeed no other weapon refiners they could turn to.

And with their ancestor's injuries worsening by the day, time was running out. It would be better to let this mysterious, confident young man try.

Having made up his mind, Ye Cong cupped his fists respectfully once more. "Then I'll trouble you, young master. If you can repair the Sixfold Grand Void Sword, the Ye Clan will be eternally grateful."

Mo Yu's lips curled into a cryptic smile. "There is one thing I'd like the Ye Clan to help me with."

"Oh? What is it? As long as it's within our ability, the Ye Clan will do everything in its power," Ye Cong promised confidently. As the patriarch of one of the four great families in the northeastern province, he had the authority to make such guarantees.

"I need the Ye Clan's help in wiping out the Mo Clan," Mo Yu said bluntly.

"The Mo Clan...?" Ye Cong's expression darkened as he stared at Mo Yu in shock. "You mean...?"

"Hehe, indeed, it's the Mo Clan, which ranks alongside your Ye Clan as one of the four great families in the northeastern province," Mo Yu nodded with certainty.

"What!?" Upon hearing Mo Yu's confirmation, Ye Cong's face darkened. Although the Ye Clan and Mo Clan were on par in name, it was evident to anyone with a keen eye that the Mo Clan had been flourishing in recent years. With the backing of the Yun Lan Sect, the Mo Clan had nearly ascended to the top position among the four great families.

And now, Mo Yu was asking the Ye Clan to take action against the Mo Clan. Even if the higher-ups of the Ye Clan agreed, they simply didn't have the strength to pull it off.

"Regarding this request, might I ask if the young master could suggest a different condition?" Ye Cong asked in a low voice.

Mo Yu simply shook his head.

Seeing this, Ye Cong, still unwilling to give up, said, "Young master, you may not be aware, but although we share the title of the four great families, the Mo Clan's strength far surpasses that of my Ye Clan. With the support of the Yun Lan Sect, even a Dou Wang expert wouldn't dare claim they could easily destroy the Mo Clan."

"What exactly is the grudge between you and the Mo Clan? Perhaps you could consider letting it go for now..."

Before Ye Cong could finish his sentence, Mo Yu interrupted him, "No need for more words, Clan Leader Ye. My name is Mo Yu. I'm sure with the Ye Clan's intelligence network, you'll quickly find out the enmity between me and the Mo Clan."

"As for whether the Ye Clan will agree to cooperate in destroying the Mo Clan, I'm sure you're not the one to make that decision. You should go back and discuss it with your clan's ancestor," Mo Yu said calmly.

"Insolence!"

Ye Cong's face stiffened at Mo Yu's words. Given his current status, there were few in Black Rock City who dared to speak to him in such a manner. His expression shifted as an overwhelming aura erupted from him.

The power of an eight-star Da Dou Shi—a strength several times greater than that of the Xiao Clan's leader, Xiao Zhan.

"Considering your master, my Ye Clan will spare your life. But as for the Sixfold Grand Void Sword, you'd better restore it. If you can't, you'd best summon your master, or else the Ye Clan of Black Rock City won't tolerate this insult!"

After he finished speaking, Ye Cong's face darkened with resolve. The Sixfold Grand Void Sword was vital to the Ye Clan's ancestor. If Mo Yu refused to cooperate, Ye Cong would be forced to act aggressively.

As Ye Cong's anger flared, a wave of blue Dou Qi swiftly filled the room. A faint mist rose, enveloping the area and obscuring Mo Yu's vision.

"Water-type Dou Qi?" Mo Yu murmured to himself as he noticed Ye Cong preparing to attack. However, his expression remained unchanged. Thinking an eight-star Da Dou Shi could easily subdue him? That was nothing short of a delusion.

With a slight shake of his body, silver-white Dou Qi surged from within, completely enveloping him. On the surface of this Dou Qi armor, crimson lightning snakes writhed, vaporizing the mist that tried to invade his body into nothingness.

"Three-star Dou Shi?" Ye Cong's expression shifted as he saw Mo Yu shrouded in the silver-white Dou Qi crackling with red lightning. For someone so young to possess such strength was a clear testament to his extraordinary talent.

"Clan Leader Ye, even if our business deal fails, there's no need for such forceful tactics. Isn't that a bit dishonorable?" Mo Yu said playfully.

"Hmph!" Seeing Mo Yu's calm demeanor, Ye Cong frowned deeply. He then rapidly circulated his Dou Qi, causing several blue water arrows to shoot out from the mist.

In response, a flash of light from Mo Yu's beast ring revealed the Divine Might Black Thunder Spear, which he swung out, scattering the water arrows one by one.

As the water arrows struck the spear, they unexpectedly transformed into puddles of water that clung to the spear's surface. Mo Yu felt a chilling sensation begin to flow through the spear and into his hand, spreading rapidly through his body.

Without changing his expression, Mo Yu lightly flicked his fingers. Crimson thunder surged from his palm, and with a quick sweep across the spear's surface, he dispelled the cold energy entirely.

"What a remarkable spear, and such peculiar thunder. I didn't expect someone so young to possess so many extraordinary treasures." Ye Cong marveled at Mo Yu's abilities.

His expression growing stern, Ye Cong waved his hand, and dozens of spiraling water arrows rapidly formed before him. With a swift gesture, they whistled through the air, hurtling toward Mo Yu.

Mo Yu's feet slid back a short distance before he looked up at the incoming barrage of water arrows. With a sudden stomp, the ground beneath him cracked as his body shot into the air, dodging the attack.

As he ascended, Mo Yu spun his body, and twenty lines of thunder instantly lit up. The physical power within him surged, and using the momentum of his spin, he hurled the Divine Might Black Thunder Spear toward Ye Cong with a furious force.

The spear pierced through the air, accompanied by a faint black arc of thunder on its surface as it tore toward Ye Cong.

Seeing the spear coming at him with such speed and power, Ye Cong raised an eyebrow in surprise. The young man before him had already given him many reasons to be astonished.

However, despite his surprise, Ye Cong didn't hold back. With a quick motion of his palms, he formed a massive water dragon over a meter long. Throwing it forward, the water dragon shot into the air and coiled itself around the spear. In just a few moments, the dragon tightly bound the spear.

Under the water dragon's restraint, the fierce energy contained in the spear rapidly dissipated. By the time it reached half a meter from Ye Cong's head, it had completely stopped.

"Though you possess many exceptional techniques, you're merely a Dou Shi. Come back with me to the Ye Clan. As long as you can repair the Sixfold Grand Void Sword, my Ye Clan won't make things difficult for you," Ye Cong said coldly.

"Clan Leader Ye, as I said, if you want me to repair the Sixfold Grand Void Sword, you must agree to my conditions!" Mo Yu replied, nodding slightly. A smile appeared at the corners of his mouth as he quickly formed a series of hand seals.

Upon seeing Mo Yu's actions, Ye Cong frowned, somewhat puzzled. However, moments later, his expression changed drastically as he sensed a powerful soul energy, almost equal to his own, slowly emanating from the young man's body.

"Impossible!"

Feeling the strength of this soul energy, Ye Cong's previously calm face finally revealed a look of shock.
