"I thought to formally congratulate you for being on the path to CEO," Alex said as soon as their eyes met. Joanna found it hard to contain the joy in her heart.

This man was so many things she could not understand. Why candles when they weren't even friends? Alex never ceased to amaze her.

"The candle?" Joanna asked when she sat in front of Alex. He poured a glass of red wine for her, his movements elegant and refined.

Still clad in his suit, Joanna could tell he had just returned as well, but this action touched her greatly.

However, candles were rather romantic, so she wondered about his reason for adding them to the occasion.
