Chapitre 72: Allies and Sacrifice

The world around Raftel continued to tremble under the weight of the colossal battles unfolding. The island, once thought to be a myth, now served as the stage for the war that would decide the fate of the world. As Luffy pushed against the time-warping powers of Imu, his friends and allies were engaged in their own desperate struggles against the overwhelming forces of the World Government and the Marines.

Akainu, standing at the front of the Marine fleet, watched Luffy and Imu's battle with burning rage. His eyes were fixed on Luffy, the one who carried the Will of D, the one who had dared to stand against the might of the Marines. With every second that passed, Akainu's frustration grew. He knew that if Luffy succeeded, the entire order he had fought for would crumble. The Pirate King, standing on the precipice of changing the world, could not be allowed to live.

"Luffy must be destroyed!" Akainu roared, magma boiling from his fists. His rage erupted, and with it, the ground beneath him cracked and scorched, steam rising from the sheer heat. Without waiting for any further orders, he launched himself toward the battlefield, aiming directly for Luffy.

But Zoro, Sanji, and Jinbe were already moving. They had seen Akainu's attack coming, and they knew what was at stake. They had fought beside Luffy for years, and now, at the culmination of their journey, they would stand as the final line of defense between their captain and death.

Zoro intercepted Akainu first, his swords drawn and glinting in the distorted light. The moment their weapons clashed, the air exploded with heat and power. Akainu's magma fists smashed into Zoro's blades, sending sparks flying as Zoro gritted his teeth, his arms straining to hold back the force of Akainu's onslaught.

"Stay out of my way, swordsman!" Akainu growled, his voice like molten lava. "You can't protect him from what's coming."

Zoro didn't flinch. His eyes burned with determination. "Luffy's not going to die here. If you want him, you'll have to go through me."

Akainu's eyes narrowed, his fists glowing brighter as the temperature rose even further. "Fine, I'll burn you all to ash."

As Akainu's magma surged toward Zoro, Sanji leapt into the fray. His Diable Jambe ignited, his flaming leg crashing down on Akainu's arm with a force that sent shockwaves across the battlefield. "You're not laying a finger on Luffy!" Sanji shouted, his usual calm replaced with the intensity of a man ready to fight to his last breath.

"Don't think I've forgotten about you, cook," Akainu snarled, his magma swirling in a chaotic frenzy as he prepared to attack both Zoro and Sanji.

But before he could strike again, Jinbe appeared, his palms glowing with the power of Fish-Man Karate. With a single powerful strike, Jinbe sent a wave of seawater crashing into Akainu's magma, the steam rising in thick clouds as the two forces collided. "The ocean itself stands with Luffy," Jinbe said calmly, his voice like the deep sea.

Akainu, furious but undeterred, fought back against the trio with unrelenting force. The ground around them cracked and melted under the heat of his magma, but Zoro, Sanji, and Jinbe held their ground. Even as the battlefield grew more dangerous, they fought with everything they had, determined to protect their captain.

Farther along the battlefield, Shanks and his crew were fully engaged in their own fight. Kizaru, the light-speed admiral, moved like a flash of light, his attacks almost too fast to see. But Shanks was no ordinary pirate. His sword clashed with Kizaru's light-infused strikes with a precision that spoke to his immense power and experience.

"Always trying to move faster than anyone else, Kizaru," Shanks said, his eyes sharp and focused. "But you're not fast enough to outrun fate."

Kizaru, his usual laid-back demeanor intact, grinned. "You think fate's on your side, Red-Haired? Let's see if it's faster than light."

Their battle tore through the Marines' forces, each clash of their weapons lighting up the sky like fireworks. Meanwhile, Beckman and the rest of Shanks' crew held off the remaining Marine forces, fending them off to keep the fight from overwhelming the Straw Hats and Luffy's other allies.

As the battles raged on Raftel, a new front was opening far across the seas, in the heart of the Holy Land of Mariejois. The Revolutionary Army, led by Monkey D. Dragon and Sabo, had begun their full-scale assault. Their mission: to dismantle the World Government from the inside, liberating the enslaved and exposing the corruption that had gripped the world for centuries.

Dragon stood at the forefront, his presence like a force of nature. His eyes burned with the knowledge of what was at stake, not just for his son, but for the future of the entire world. "This is it," Dragon said to his commanders. "The moment we've been waiting for. Tear down their walls."

Sabo, standing at his father's side, nodded, his Mera Mera no Mi powers flaring with the intensity of his resolve. "We'll make sure the truth reaches the world," Sabo said, his voice steady despite the storm brewing around them.

The Revolutionary Army surged forward, battling their way through the holy city. But as they pressed their assault, they were met by Ryokugyu, the ferocious Admiral who had sworn to defend the Holy Land at all costs.

Sabo, without hesitation, charged toward Ryokugyu, his flames blazing as they clashed. "This ends now!" Sabo shouted, his fists burning with the fire of the Mera Mera no Mi.

Ryokugyu's vines and forest-like powers lashed out, tangling with Sabo's flames. The two fought with a fury that shook the Holy Land to its core, their powers clashing in a chaotic dance of fire and earth. But Ryokugyu, with his brutal strength, pressed harder. With a devastating blow, he struck Sabo down, his vines piercing through Sabo's defenses and sending him crashing to the ground.

The battlefield seemed to freeze as Sabo fell, the flames of his Mera Mera no Mi flickering weakly around him. The Revolutionary Army, shocked and horrified, watched as their second-in-command lay wounded, his body broken.

"Sabo!" Dragon's voice was filled with a father's anguish. He rushed to his son's side, kneeling beside him as the life seemed to drain from Sabo's eyes.

Sabo, his voice weak, managed a faint smile. "Don't... stop. You have to finish this, for Luffy... for everyone."

Dragon's heart clenched, but his resolve hardened. He stood, his eyes filled with a storm of fury. "Ryokugyu," Dragon growled, his power crackling around him like the gathering of a thunderstorm. "You will pay for this."

With a single motion, Dragon unleashed the full force of his power, summoning winds and lightning that ripped through the Holy Land. His grief and rage fueled his attacks, and the Revolutionary Army, spurred on by their leader's wrath, pressed forward with renewed strength.

But the impact of Sabo's death rippled across the world. On Raftel, Luffy felt it deep within him. His haki, always connected to those closest to him, trembled with the loss of his brother. His eyes widened as the weight of Sabo's death crashed into him like a tidal wave.

"Sabo..." Luffy whispered, his voice barely audible.

Imu, sensing Luffy's momentary distraction, seized the opportunity. The ancient ruler raised his hand, sending a surge of reality-warping energy toward Luffy, intending to strike him down while his guard was lowered.

But Luffy's grief turned into something else. His sorrow became rage—rage not just for Sabo, but for everyone who had been lost, for everyone who had been oppressed by the World Government's rule. His Conqueror's Haki exploded outward with a force that shattered Imu's attack, the ground beneath him cracking as his power surged to new heights.

"I won't let them win!" Luffy roared, his fists glowing with the full force of his awakened Gear 5 powers. "Sabo... Ace... everyone... this is for you!"

With a final, earth-shattering punch, Luffy struck out at Imu, his haki cutting through the very fabric of time and space. The power of the Sun God Nika radiated from his attack, and for the first time, Imu staggered, his control over time slipping.

The battle wasn't over, but the tide had turned. Luffy, fueled by the sacrifices of those he loved, stood taller than ever before. The fight for freedom would continue, but now, with the full force of the Will of D behind him, Luffy was ready to end it once and for all.
