Chapitre 16: The Pirate World Reacts

The seas were wild, as though they themselves felt the ripple effect of the war at Marineford. Whitebeard was dead, and his final words—"The One Piece is real!"—had echoed across the world, sparking a fire in the hearts of pirates everywhere. The new era had begun, and the race for the One Piece was now more desperate, more dangerous than ever before.

Pirates, Marines, and even civilians across the world were still processing what had happened. Whitebeard's death had not only ended the era of one of the greatest Yonko, but his proclamation about Raftel and the One Piece confirmed the dream that so many had chased for years.

News of Whitebeard's Death Shakes the World

In a small town on the East Blue, a group of pirates gathered around a den-den mushi, listening intently to the latest report from Marineford. The voice on the other end trembled as it relayed the shocking details of the battle: the fall of Whitebeard, the clash of the Marines and pirates, and the sudden appearance of Blackbeard.

"Can you believe it?" one pirate said, his voice filled with awe. "Whitebeard's dead... but he said the One Piece is real! That means anyone can claim it now!"

"No one's going to be able to stop Blackbeard," another pirate muttered, fear creeping into his voice. "He's got Whitebeard's power now. He'll be unstoppable."

Across the seas, similar conversations were happening in taverns, ships, and secret hideouts. Pirates everywhere were stunned by the sudden shift in power. The death of Whitebeard, one of the most powerful figures in the world, had left a vacuum, and Blackbeard's emergence as a new force was terrifying. But even more than that, Whitebeard's final declaration had reignited a fervor that had long been dormant—the quest for the One Piece.

The Pirate King's Legacy Lives On

In the farthest corners of the New World, a figure sat quietly in the shadows, listening to the report. The legendary pirate Shanks—one of the remaining Yonko—had heard Whitebeard's final words. His face, usually calm and jovial, was now set in a grim expression.

Shanks stood at the edge of his ship, the wind tugging at his red hair. He knew what was coming. Whitebeard's proclamation wasn't just a confirmation that the One Piece was real—it was a call to arms. The seas would soon be in chaos as every pirate worth their salt set out to find the legendary treasure. But more than that, Blackbeard—now wielding Whitebeard's terrifying Gura Gura no Mi powers—was an imminent threat.

"The world is about to change," Shanks muttered, his gaze fixed on the horizon. He couldn't help but think of Luffy—the boy with so much potential, the one who had declared he would be Pirate King. "I hope you're ready for what's coming, Luffy."

Shanks' crew, the Red-Hair Pirates, exchanged wary glances. They could feel the tension in the air. Their captain knew that the time for peace was over. The world was bracing itself for the dawn of a new pirate era.

Blackbeard's Fearsome Rise

While the world grappled with the loss of Whitebeard and the confirmation of the One Piece, Blackbeard wasted no time in asserting his dominance. After claiming Whitebeard's power, he and his crew began to move swiftly, taking over the territories once held by Whitebeard's pirate empire.

In a dark and seedy part of the New World, Blackbeard and his newly empowered crew arrived on the shores of Fish-Man Island, a place that had long been under Whitebeard's protection. The island's residents trembled at the sight of Blackbeard, his body brimming with the dual powers of the Yami Yami no Mi and the Gura Gura no Mi.

"Listen up, you fishy lot!" Blackbeard boomed, his voice carrying over the waves. "This island belongs to me now! I've taken Whitebeard's power and his territory, and I'll take much more before I'm done! Zehahahaha!"

The people of Fish-Man Island looked at each other in terror. Whitebeard had been their protector, but now, under Blackbeard's reign, they feared what was to come. Blackbeard's ambition knew no bounds, and his rise to power was only just beginning.

Marco and the remnants of the Whitebeard Pirates had fought valiantly at Marineford, but the loss of their captain had left them reeling. They knew they couldn't protect Whitebeard's vast territories from Blackbeard's assault—not in their weakened state.

"Captain..." Marco muttered, his phoenix flames flickering as he gazed out over the horizon. "We'll keep your memory alive, but... it's going to be hard."

The Marine's Response

Back at Marine Headquarters, the mood was somber, but not entirely one of victory. Fleet Admiral Sengoku, having lost many Marines in the war and allowed Luffy and Ace to escape, knew that the death of Whitebeard had ushered in something far worse—Blackbeard's rise to power.

Standing in the war room, Sengoku scowled as he looked over the reports. Akainu—now angrier and more vengeful than ever—was pushing for immediate retaliation, but Sengoku knew that attacking Blackbeard without careful planning could lead to disaster.

"He's taken Whitebeard's power," Sengoku muttered to himself. "Blackbeard is more dangerous than any pirate we've faced. We have to be prepared for whatever comes next."

Akainu, his face twisted with rage, slammed his fist down on the table, the force of the blow sending cracks through the wood. "We should have destroyed him at Marineford! We let that scum get away with the power of a Yonko, and now he's claiming territory like it's his right!"

Sengoku remained calm, though he shared Akainu's frustration. "We need to plan carefully," Sengoku said, his voice measured. "If we rush into this, Blackbeard will crush us. We're not ready to take him on yet—not when our forces are still recovering from the war."

Akainu glared at Sengoku, but he knew the Fleet Admiral was right. Even so, his thirst for vengeance remained strong. Blackbeard would not be allowed to roam free for long.

The Pirate Brothers' Bond

Out at sea, aboard the Moby Dick, Luffy and Ace sat together, both exhausted from the events at Marineford. The ship was quiet, and the reality of what had happened was starting to sink in. Whitebeard, their protector and father figure, was gone. And now, Blackbeard was on the rise.

Luffy, his straw hat pulled low over his eyes, broke the silence. "Ace... we made it out, but... we couldn't save him."

Ace's fists tightened, his jaw clenched as he struggled to hold back the tears. "The old man..." he began, his voice thick with grief. "He gave everything for us. And now Blackbeard... he's taken everything."

Luffy's heart ached as he looked at his brother. He knew how much Whitebeard had meant to Ace, how much he had meant to all of them. But they couldn't let Blackbeard's rise break them. They had to keep moving forward.

"We'll stop him," Luffy said firmly, his voice filled with determination. "We'll get stronger, and we'll stop him. We'll make sure the old man's sacrifice wasn't for nothing."

Ace looked at Luffy, his heart heavy but filled with resolve. "You're right," Ace said, his fists igniting with flames. "We'll stop Teach. We'll get stronger, and we'll take back what he stole."

The brothers, united in their shared pain and determination, knew that the road ahead would be harder than ever. But together, they would face whatever challenges came their way.
