The air was thick with tension as Luffy, still in his chaotic Gear 5 form, stood beside Whitebeard. The battlefield was alive with chaos — pirates and Marines clashing, cannon fire exploding in the distance, and the sky darkening with storm clouds that reflected the war below. Luffy's heart pounded as he locked eyes with the distant figure of Ace, who was still bound by the massive execution platform. So close, yet so many obstacles remained.
But Luffy wasn't alone anymore.
Whitebeard's immense presence beside him gave Luffy a strange sense of reassurance, even if the legendary pirate's power was almost overwhelming. The ground still cracked from Whitebeard's last quake, and the air around them seemed to ripple from his haki alone. The battlefield trembled under his sheer will.
Before Luffy could charge ahead, a chilling voice cut through the noise of battle.
"Straw Hat Luffy… I thought I'd dealt with you already."
Luffy froze, the voice sending a chill down his spine. His advanced observation haki flared, and he spun around just in time to see Admiral Kizaru stepping forward, his body shimmering with light. Kizaru's usual relaxed demeanor was in place, but there was something more dangerous in his eyes this time. His hands were already glowing, ready to unleash a barrage of light-speed attacks.
Luffy's fists clenched. Kizaru was one of the Admirals he had fought earlier, but the battle had ended quickly, with the Admiral barely getting serious. Now, with the stakes higher than ever, it was clear that Kizaru wouldn't hold back.
"I don't have time for this," Luffy muttered to himself, his fists trembling with anticipation. His advanced observation haki was already mapping out Kizaru's movements, but the speed at which the light-wielding Admiral moved was still a challenge, even with Gear 5.
Before Luffy could react, Kizaru disappeared in a flash of light. In the blink of an eye, he reappeared directly behind Luffy, his foot raised high in a shining arc. "Yasakani no Magatama!" Kizaru whispered, his voice calm.
Luffy's body twisted in an impossible angle, dodging the kick with the flexibility of Gear 5. His advanced observation haki had saved him from the devastating attack, but Kizaru was fast. Too fast. Light particles danced around Luffy as Kizaru unleashed a rapid-fire barrage of kicks, each one threatening to pierce through Luffy's defenses.
"You're still too slow!" Kizaru remarked, his voice dripping with condescension.
Luffy gritted his teeth, his entire body contorting and bending as he dodged the attacks, using every ounce of his advanced haki to predict Kizaru's movements. His body twisted like a spring, rubbery skin expanding and retracting as he evaded each light-speed kick.
"I'm not slow!" Luffy growled, his voice carrying a newfound intensity. With a burst of speed, he lunged forward, his arm stretching and expanding. His fist, coated in advanced armament haki, shot toward Kizaru with the force of a cannonball. "Gomu Gomu no Kong Rifle!"
Kizaru smirked, his body flickering with light as he barely dodged the punch. The ground behind him exploded from the force of Luffy's attack, but the Admiral had already disappeared, reappearing several meters away, his hands lazily resting in his pockets.
"You've got some impressive tricks, Straw Hat," Kizaru said, his tone as casual as ever. "But can you keep up?"
Before Luffy could respond, the air crackled with electricity as Admiral Akainu stepped into view, his body radiating intense heat. Lava dripped from his fists as he glared at both Luffy and Whitebeard with pure hatred. "Enough playing around, Kizaru. This war needs to end, and it needs to end with their defeat."
Whitebeard's expression darkened, and he gripped his bisento tighter, his muscles tensing. "You think you can end this, Akainu? You'll need more than your lava to take me down."
Akainu's eyes narrowed, the temperature around him rising to unbearable levels. "We'll see about that, old man."
Without warning, Akainu's fist transformed into a massive molten fist, and he lunged at Whitebeard with terrifying speed. Luffy barely had time to react as Whitebeard met the attack head-on, his bisento glowing with advanced armament haki. The two titanic forces collided, sending a shockwave across the battlefield that knocked weaker fighters off their feet.
Luffy's heart pounded in his chest. The sheer power of Whitebeard and Akainu's clash was overwhelming, but Luffy couldn't afford to be distracted. Kizaru was still watching him, his eyes gleaming with cold amusement.
Luffy's eyes darted between the two Admirals, his mind racing. He could feel his body tiring under the strain of Gear 5, but Ace's life was on the line. He couldn't stop now. His advanced observation haki flared again, and he saw it — Kizaru's next move.
The Admiral disappeared in another flash of light, reappearing directly above Luffy. But this time, Luffy was ready. His body twisted and stretched as he launched himself into the air, his arm whipping forward in a wide arc. "Gomu Gomu no Jet Culverin!"
Kizaru's eyes widened as Luffy's haki-coated fist expanded and curved mid-air, slamming into him before he could fully dodge. The impact sent the light-wielding Admiral crashing into the ground, creating a crater beneath him.
But Kizaru wasn't done. His body flickered again, and he reappeared on his feet, brushing off the attack as if it were nothing. "Impressive. But is that all you've got?"
Luffy landed a few feet away, panting heavily. His Gear 5 form was still active, but he could feel the energy draining fast. "I'm not done yet," Luffy growled, his eyes filled with determination. "I've got more than enough to take you down."
Before Kizaru could respond, a massive roar echoed across the battlefield. Luffy's heart skipped a beat as he turned to see Whitebeard unleashing his full power. The old pirate's bisento was glowing with haki, and the very air around him cracked under the force of his Gura Gura no Mi ability.
"This is the end for you, Akainu!" Whitebeard bellowed, his voice shaking the battlefield.
Akainu snarled, his molten body radiating intense heat. But even he seemed to falter as Whitebeard's power bore down on him. The ground trembled as Whitebeard swung his bisento, creating a shockwave so powerful that it split the earth beneath them.
Luffy watched in awe, his body trembling from both exhaustion and excitement. Whitebeard's sheer power was unlike anything he had ever seen. But he couldn't let himself be distracted. Not now.
Kizaru was still standing, and Ace was still waiting.
Luffy clenched his fists, his body trembling with the last remnants of Gear 5's power. "I'm not giving up," he whispered to himself. "I'm coming, Ace. No matter what."
With a final burst of energy, Luffy launched himself back into the fray, determined to push through the Admirals and reach his brother.
