Chapitre 99: Sleep with me (1)

Alaric didn't say anything else on the matter. I'd returned to the guest room in a daze, my mind spinning. I wasn't sure if it was from the poison or because everything seemed so messy. My brother had some memory loss? 

Yet Liva, his mistress, is the one to help him. Was that suspicious, or was I leaning in the wrong direction? She'd been nothing but pleasant to be around and had been enduring Deyanira's wrath. 

Of course, my instincts were directed at Deyanira, but she was his mother. Alaric always told me to trust my instincts. That was before we knew I was without a wolf, though, so I'm not sure if they still count.

How could my brother's memory have blanks in it? Was it poison? Or some sort of magick? Were the High Fae at work here? 

The little fairytale book I read didn't specify powers that could be the cause, but I didn't entirely trust it either. It stated the basic magicks that High Fae had.
